Ashley Cole is almost certainly to leave Chelsea in the summer.

Would you take him (as a player) on a two year deal if he agreed to a wage reduction? Or failing that, if we sold Johnson for example to free up some wages?

He's still a decent player but he brings so much baggage with him. I just can't see how it would turn out well

If his wages were shrunk to no more than 70-80k, and if we used him as a back up. We need a better LB and he's probably better than what we've got, so I'd say it may be worth the risk depending on wages.

We need to be realistic tho, I don't see Shaw coming here considering chelsea will offer more to Southampton, and double his wages, and he's a chelsea fan.

An inflated price for Shaw is better bet than signing ca$hly on high wages on a multi-season contract.

There is a reason he is not playing first choice at Chelsea, like we found out with Cole 90K a week later.

Buy quality instead that's the one position needs reinforcing.
