Barry ferguson - You're havin a laugh

Taken from lfc.tv

"Liverpool could still be in the hunt for Blackburn Rovers midfielder Barry Ferguson.

The Reds were in the chase for the Scottish midfielder while he was at Rangers, but never managed to clinch his signature.

Gerard Houllier was keen on Ferguson but now new Reds boss Rafa Benitez has his own ideas about his Anfield squad.

Benitez has already brought in Xabi Alonso to bolster his midfield but some have suggested that Ferguson could still be on the wanted list, with the Anfield board pointing Benitez in the right direction.

Agent John Viola says that Liverpool have had a continual interest in Ferguson, but as yet no new bid has come in.

"I spoke to Liverpool a couple of seasons ago when Gerard Houllier was manager and they made an £8 million offer to Rangers, but it was rejected," said Viola.

"Liverpool have always shown interest in Barry but at this stage there has been no approach from the new regime."
....................................................................................
I'm sorry, but this can't be serious. central midfield is hardly our priority is it? also, he may be the captain of scotland, but the fact that blackburn signed him tells you everything you need to know.

HE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH

some reports just do my head in.  :(

He's average, at best. Not for LFC.

I don't know much about him but from what I have seen him do at Blackburn, he appears to be just an average player and would not improve our squad. That striker Souness bought for some 1.5 million during the last transfer window and scored some goals during the later half of the season for Blackburs, John Stead (I think) would be better at improving our squad than Ferguson.

Quality player if you ask me but i wouldn't take him above the two we have. He's too good to sit on the bench though i think, i'd have him ahead of Hamann but he's not what we need anymore.

He's failed to show any real class since arriving in the Premership, though he is playing in a ****** team.
