Andy Carroll has been mentioned three times in the last 4 pages... In the Andy Carroll thread.  What sort of chance will he be given to have an impact in the England team?

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I reckon he may well start. Or get half an hour at the expense of Welbeck...

if rodgers could get carroll to play the 38 league games next season the way he played against chelsea in the f.a cup final and at anfield 3 days later then we`d win the league next season.

That's a rather brazen statement isn't it?

I don't know about that but if Carroll plays next season the way he finished the season and the supply line and tempo improves under Brendan then I can see Carroll easily getting into premiership double figures next season possibly even 20 goals in the premiership.

Sure a little over the top.. BUt the way Carroll was playing... chelsea couldn't touch the ball.  They were terrified.  You won't lose many games when the other team doesn't touch the ball outside their own half.  He plays like that and we could have 2 strikers scoring 25+ goals.

Absolutely bullied Terry - I'm not sure he can play like that for 38 games!

not really, that was the european champions defence he was destroying and if he did that in every game i`d say we`d win the vast majority of them.
i doubt he or any player could play at the top of his form for 10 consecutive matches never mind 38 so it wont happen, but if rodgers can get gerrard, suarez and carroll playing well all season then anything is possible. i think suarez will score a lot of goals next season.

As much as BR said nice things about Carroll (well that's what managers are obliged to do anyway) I don't think Carroll is the kind of striker BR sees his football philosophy being implemented with. Carroll is a tank. BR wants a Mobile Infantry. If we are not able to buy a striker this season, then yes BR will play AC for the majority of the games. If we are able to capture a more prolific and mobile striker, however, AC will lose his starting place. By the look of things, sale of Dirk, I believe we will be in for a striker in the market.

He's more mobile than most give credit... Last couple months he's been all over the place getting himself involved in everything because of his mobility.

i think thats a bit of a myth that mate, look at the striker he took to swansea, graham, he`s a target man type. he lead the line for swansea last season.
