Agger has shown he doesn't have a weak mind.

Aquilani is weak in mind as well as body

You really, really dont like him do you?
Does he owe you money or something?
???

We spent 20 mil on him , we give him 80 grand a week and we got nothing back from him. He bottled it when the going was tough and ran home. Him and Cole are the last remaining bad smells from Twit and ***** and both are financial drains on the club.

The sooner they are gone the better

I don't see why Aquilani and Cole cannot come back into the club and do well? Aquilani is a good footballer, he proved that at Roma, Juventus and when he has played for AC Milan. Joe Cole is a good footballer too, he's proven that at West Ham, Chelsea and Lille. I think these players have much to offer us and I think Brendan can get the best out of both of them.

Cole was a good footballer until he had two serious knee injuries - Cole did ok in France where the pace is a lot slower - Cole was awful for us. Chelsea didn't give the contract he wanted for a reason - we were stupid enough to give it.

It's time to look forward not turn to previous failings.

Ultimately it will be down to Rodgers whether or not he shares your view on both players. I hope he doesn't as both footballers evidently have something to offer Liverpool, unlike last summers arrivals i.e. Adam and Downing who have done virtually nothing of any worth - Henderson was unfortunately played out of position all season, but when played in the center of midfield actually looked pretty good.

Cole did nothing of worth for us in one season as well .

Not sure how you can say they have something of worth yet Downing doesn't ?

And Adam scored and created as many chances as Aquilani has for Liverpool.

Just because some players didn't work out doesn't mean we go back to previous players who didn't work out

Stewart Downing is utterly useless, he always been and he always will be. Aquilani is a brilliant pass and move player and Cole can come off the bench and change a match with a pass, an assist or a goal.

What does Downing do? Apart from beat up his ex-girlfriend? Not much would be the answer.

You raise a good point Benny. Fingers crossed that all underachievers at the club can find a new leash of life under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers.

Joe Cole is coming up to 31 now - he has had two serious knee injuries that have pretty much curtailed his career - Chelsea let him go because of them. What more extra can we expect to get out of him.

Downing is still active and struggled in his first season but is in the prime years of his career and will be away with his country in a big tournament

Which player do you think we can get more out of ?

People are talking about starting to phase out players like Carra and possibly Gerrard and look to the future.

Is Cole at 31 the sort of player to look towards ? Cole can do a pretty good job again for a West Ham or back at Lille - that is where he should be looking to end his career.

You are deliberately missing the point that we have a new manager who will look at things differently than a biased, mule headed person such as you.

"They're certainly talented players," Rodgers told the club's official website. "I know Joe [Cole] well from my time at Chelsea. He's a wonderful talent.
I thought [Alberto] Aquilani was a really good player. I'd seen him in the Champions League and he came to Liverpool but it didn't quite work out and he went back [to Italy] on loan."

You need to get over it because if they do come back and you continue with this childish foot stamping it will cause arguments, which is exactly what we dont need at this time
