been poor for the most part and we  stuck with the lads and system
that did alright at Norwich.

He was excellent when he came on that cannot be argued, and his goal
now is to do that every week and make it impossible for Dalglish to
leave him out of the side.

In may ways Carroll is the epitome of this Liverpool team, hot on his
day but for the most part missing in action.

I do the lad was great against Fulham in the week and has had his best run of form in the last few weeks. Tactically the management thought that they could play the same system they played at Chelsea twice earlier in the season and all they had to do was turn up. It didn't work because Maxi wasn't playing Downing was and in both of those games Lucas and Adam were better at releasing the ball quickly to Bellamy and Maxi. Bellamy was shocking yesterday. Carroll would have been far better at holding the ball up in a 4-4-2 system as has shown in recent weeks releasing it quickly to Suarez and Gerrard. Even though Lucas and Adam weren't playing yesterday and Spearing struggled if Henderson had played Spearing's role and Kuyt had been on the right Carroll up front it would have been a different game.

You don't pay £35 million for a striker and then leave him on the bench for your biggest game of the season particularly when he's been in the best form of his season and scored the winner in the semi-final. I was worried the minute the players came onto the pitch because Kenny's face look strained and pressured. I blame Carroll if he asks for a move given his treatment yesterday.

Rafa did it in Athens and we lost to a weaker Milan team than 2 years previous.
I think Clarke should take some of the blame as well for not saying to KK that Caroll should have been in the starting 11

Andy is a big game player, and improved a lot, next season he will show us the consistency and shoot us to top 4. cant wait for next season.

i disagree mate, it`s lazy to compare carroll or any other player for that matter to messi because eveyone knows they`ll all come up short when compared to the little argentinian genius but lets not forget that even he missed a pen against chelsea and infact carroll caused a 11 man chelsea more problems than the entire barcelona team did and they were playing against 10 men and a makeshift defence.
carroll did everything right with the header, it was a great pick out by suarez but the cross didnt have much pace on it, it was stood up as opposed to whipped in, carroll generated a lot of power and got it on target and only a fantastic gordon banks-esque save just, and i mean just, managed to keep it out.
carroll  was literally an inch away from equalising and sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and praise the opposition, the power carroll got on the header you`d expect it to rebound off cechs hand into the net but cech somehow kept it out, 9 times out of 10 that would have been in the net off his hand.
the difference was their keeper pulls off a save that will go down in F.A cup final folklore alongside jim montgomery`s double save against leeds in 73 and our keeper lets in a goal that a sunday league alehouse keeper would be gutted to let in.

they always stick the ball into him up high, as shown in his last game he can also use his feet. i dont think in any game he has had for us he has been able to have a clear head to the ball, its always stuck into him when there 3 players on him.

i dont think he is a bad player, we just need to use him better.

Dosent matter at the end of the day. Those that have welcomed and supported the lad can share a smile with him. Those that don't like him but are fair in their criticism can at least say they stuck by themselves. The idiots who are on and off the bandwagon are clear for all to see in this thread. No need to point out the idiots. They wave their arms and yell it from the rooftops. Retain your dignity, loyal fans. Let the rest highlight their own hypocracies and fickleties.

Absolutely faultless display from the Big fella ,very close to being on a par with Gerrard's against West Ham .
I think if he had been given more time against Terry and Co he would have frightened them to an early death .
