Some good defensive headers late on.

His touch is scandalous. I honestly have never seen a player with as little talent on the floor that has worn a Liverpool shirt. When hes not failing to trap the ball, hes completely anonymous. I said before hes a carthorse (and at the time i felt i was maybe being a tad harsh).. but a carthorse he is. We beat City with 10 men. He was savaged tonight on the radio (i had Lawrenson volume off).

Suarez cannot come back quick enough.

Forced a decent save from really the only chance he had.

Agree his first touch was poor and he just still seems really lethargic to me, doesnt look fit

I've said it before and I'll say it again.. Just don't bother reading Kerry's posts in the AC thread.

He started pretty well, and when he came back to defend he was doing quite well near the end of the game.  I'll admit his touch was very off too often tonight, and that wasn't helpful.

But you can't blame him for much when He's the only Liverpool player within 30 yards every time he gets the ball... he looks to immediately lay it off when he gets it, and when nobody is there he can't do that.  He's not a dribbling player, so we shouldn't expect that from him.

The style we play is quick pass and move into feet, i feel Carroll doesnt quite fit into that system.

Fair play to the lad tho, did the job he was asked to do tonight , he was very isolated.

I would push Bellamy upfront.. and play Maxi on the wing.

The geordie is anonymous, contributes zilch outfield, cannot pass, control, trap a ball to save his life. The 10 players who played for us tonight did a fantastic job.

And as for a previous comment "his touch was off tonight"... his touch is always off. One phone call to Glenn Roeder  (who has seen him up close for years on the newcastle training ground) would have ended any interest we had in him.

When Bellamy passed to him and the ball bounced off the big geordie lumps shin.. i swear i laughed (if you dont laugh you'd cry). He is beyond defending, and anyone that dares to do so (bar Kenny as thats his pob) is pig ignorant.

You are an embarrassment - if you can't see the role Carroll played in the win then your either a bitter or a manc - 14 men contributed to the win

And shut the :censored: up about Roeder - he failed as a manager .

I'll have to admit I'm getting jealous of this Roeder fella you keep quoting.
Why do you keep going on about him? Do you fancy him or what?

IMHO Carroll is not good enough for us, that said tonight was not the night to judge him. I felt sorry for him as he had very little support and we spent most of the second half camped infront of our goal.
