Your personal crusade on this board towards Carroll is getting pathetic , lets give it a break now eh and support the lad and see what happens .

I hope you never go to the game - i dont want to see the lad booed .

I dont understand...does the paper not just state: "There are those on Merseyside who believe it is only a matter of time before Newcastle are sounded out and asked how much they would be willing to pay to take him back to St James’ Park." ?

What has this got to do with me? Are the media and everyone else with their eyes open "on a personal crusade"?. I will never defend someone that makes us worse, and as i've said before that is the worst form of supporter. Unless of course we should all have supported Konchesky?.. Poulson? Those that condone failure get failure. The standards of a club are set by the supporters, no one else. The moment we accept mediocrity is the moment the club is no longer among the elite. We bought a player who patently is not good enough, and actually makes us worse (im struggling to think of another such recent example). For us to take that stride forward that everyone hoped for when Kenny took over, we have to discard personnel that hold us back. Its the biggest issue we currently face.

Read the comments in your signature to remind yourself about how Liverpool Fans should act .

You support the players - you get behind them - you give them a chance , this is not Football Manager where you can sell players you don't like after just playing 20 odd games for the club - its pathetic the demand from modern fans .

As for what the media say - when the :censored: did we start listening to wha the media say .

I bet you were saying the same things about Lucas not so long ago and booing away with them .

With all the furore surrounding the expensive signing of a striker from whom much was expected but so far little has been delivered I took a look at some of the old newkit robbie keane threads

Amazing how some who after only six months said about Keane

lets hope we can get someone a bit more suited to us in the summer .

are now preaching about Carrol "give him time"

And his twenty minute cameo against an appalling Villa did nothing to change my mind about Carroll's lack of ability. He simply doesn't fit into this squad or our style of play .The difference in the team when Suarez went off and Carroll came on was depressingly clear to see. Over to you Benny............ More stats maybe? ??????

i didnt want to comment on him.. i was too positive about the display of the others to even think about his pathetic appearance. We are top class when he doesnt play. I like all good supporters of our club will be delighted when hes sold.

Only thing pathetic is the comments from Kerry and Devaney - please highlight exactly what it was he did wrong that means you must highlight him from everyone else

It's starting sound like a personal vendetta against one player - that's quite sad to see from Liverpool fans .

He came on added a bit of pressure , kept hassling the cb's , held the ball up a number of times . We had taken the foot of the pedal - what exactly did you expect from him for the last 15 mins .

The really frustrating thing for him must be the amount of times he was in the box waiting for decent delivery and it didn't happen .

Go and watch the period he was playing again and tell me exactly how balls he could attack ? I'll answer now - none .

Well done Benny you've given me another utterly meaningless stat. Here's one for you - what did Carroll create? - answer absolutely fk all !! And don't tell me it is not his job to create opportunities for himself.Even when he has had decent service he hasn't actually finished the job has he. He managed to hit the underside of the bar against Swansea when it was easier to score ffs.Frankly I don't know what you are watching!

You chose to absolutely denigrate Roy Hodgson before he had been at the club for five minutes and you have the affront to criticise other supporters when they get a bit p.ssed off for having a go at a player that simply is not worth the shirt and has been at the club for nearly twelve months! The lad is 23 and cannot simply be regarded as a work in progress.

So let's go back to the last game - once again what exactly did Carroll do wrong in that game in the 15 mins he played - forget Swansea months ago lets focus on the last game which is why you posted you inital post today .

As for Hodgson - he was taking us down the the relegation zone - I said he wasn't good enough and he proved it over 20 years of management not just 20 games .

there was one attack coming from the right, you could see our player (can't remember if it was Henderson or Johnson) darting up the right wing. There was a split second the player could of sent a ball into the middle...  but Carroll was nowhere to be seen. things like this don't help his cause

Benny you want it every which way. You produced stats for several years supposedly demonstrating how good Carroll was and now you want to talk about twenty games.

Hodgson is not a top class manager but he is capable of doing a job at a certain level. Exactly the same can be said of Carroll yet you seem hell bent on castigating one and supporting the other. How do you think that Hodgson has remained managing premiership teams if he really is as bad as you think. They actually quite liked him at Fulham where he did a half reasonable job and nearly won the Europa League.

Your asking me what he did wrong in the Villa game. That is not the point. It's what he gives to the team that concerns me and that is very little.
