Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Joeblackisachimp » Tue Aug 02, 2011 9:07 pm

I Suppose it only matters if you ACTUALLY go to games! unlike most of you lot LOL, who have probably never set foot in Liverpool your whole lives, and wouldn't recognize Anfield if you walked into the shankly gates Lol.

the high prices, are now the result of poor fans having to stump up for the new signings huge weekly wages:

Carroll: 150k per week
Adam:  50-80k per week
Suarez: 80k per week.
Gerrard: 150k per week.
Reina: 100k per week.

Or something similar.
i wonder if those guys can afford a family day out at Anfield, with a pie and coffee?

Our season tickets: £780 anywhere in the ground. Wigan's..£300. At least you get to watch a Prem game every week.

the pies are at Anfield are tasteless for about £3, like  Asda's own brand, cups of tea are small, and the beer was garbage, when we we sponsered by carlsberg.

We should just open up a LIDL or Aldi underneath the Kop.

So the general feeling is, if we get a new stadium, our ticket prices will go down?

Dont kid yourself. The one person who decides not to buy that ticket their will be another 100 who will. Liverpool FC, as long as they make money, will continue to charge daft prices. Does it bother me? of course it does, I just simply cannot afford it. Others can though and they are more than willing to pay as long as money is being spent on transfers, and as long as the club have appeal.

erm...since when was Carroll on 150k a week? Didn't we triple the 30k he earned at Newcastle i.e. he's on 90k

are you just making these up? ???
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

The cost of food within the ground has been high for a while, you can buy fish n Chips outside the ground for slightly more than the price of a sausage roll within.

I had a beer at Anfield, oh and a joint in the KOP but that's about it.

If you're that hard up, fill yer belly up on ale and pies BEFORE you go into the ground.

Considering that info hasn't been made public, I bet my estimate is a lot nearere than yours. I based it on the 35m fee, What Gerrard is on, and Waht MAn City players, and other prem players signed on similar deals?

Trebled his 30k wages? was that what you read in The Sun, that you buy religiously?

Bollxx. carroll is on more than 90k.

I cant help but feel your argument, and indeed logic, is somewhat flawed.

what is it with this forum the last coupla yrs? people jus slaggin others off, makin ridiculous accusations, arguin for the sake of it....
it used to be an informative, decent place to come talk Liverpool FC, ok it was never perfectly balanced, specially with the pro an anti Rafa factions but lately its almost like we support diferent teams with varyin ideals. i dont come here much now, saddened by my own kind cuz what would appear to be the traditional knowledgeable Liverpool supporter/fan woteva has been replaced by individuals with hidden agendas.
the topic started asking if we were happy with ticket prices and ends up pointin fingers for no reason at posters. wrong. some people need a chat with themselves.
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
