do you know who this is?

Image

Its Luciano Moggi, the guy who ran Juventus, the guy whos' son ran the biggest player agency in Italian football, the guy who its claimed influenced Lippi into calling up players to the national squad thus inflating their stature and transfer cost, the guy who apparently managed to choose referees for juve's games.
We ordinary people do not have much, but what we do have is football,no-one should ever take that away from us,it is our lifeblood, this person has been accused of taking the lifeblood from Italian football fans for the past 4 years. Lets pray for them and pray that this type of person could never influence our game......or is it happening already??

From a football fans point of view, there are few things worse than ruining the beautiful game.  I reckon one day all football will be corrupt and collapse as people lose interest, but I hope that day is a long time after I die.

The man definately deserves a jail sentence, he has ruined Italian football, there are millions of people that put there whole lives into football, decent honest people that have been undermined and conned.
Just think how they feel knowing that the most important thing in there lives is corrupt ?
I know they had an idea but now that the truth is out they know that the money they have poured into supporting there clubs has really been wasted as the league is a sham and fixed anyway.

I think it will be difficult for italian football to get over this and that the people concered deserve jail for there part in the corruption.
Also just think of how much money people may have lost gambling on results that have already been sealed (due to referees being preselected)
It would make you not want to bother watching your team again.
I cant even think how long a jail sentence the man deserves.

Italy: Giuseppe Signori held in football fixing probe

Giuseppe Signori, 43, who was one of Italy's leading strikers, leaves a police station in Bologna
Former Italy footballer Giuseppe Signori and 15 other people have been arrested by Italian police for alleged match-fixing.

The others held are said to include ex-Serie A players, current players from both Serie B and Serie C, club directors from lower leagues and betting shop employees.

They are accused of organising the rigging of matches to fix bets.

Eighteen matches are under investigation.

They include this season's Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Lecce, and matches involving Siena and Atalanta, who both earned promotion to Serie A.

Police in towns and cities across Italy including Rome, Turin, Naples, Bologna, Ancona, Cremona and Ferrara issued detention orders for the 16 people.

Signori, 43, who is being held under house arrest, was one of Italy's leading strikers in the 1990s. He was top scorer in Serie A three times with Rome club Lazio.

He declined to comment on the allegations.
