What kind of thing you after Woof
I went to Cuba flight only about ten years ago and had a great time wandering around but even then it was hard as they channel you as much as possible to official tourist stuff although there are now lonely planet book but werent back then and I do recommend going there before Castro pops it as it'll never be the same again. Communism in the sun

You sound like youve been around and the world is a smaller place but have you been South America even with all eco tourism it was better in 84 comments etc the Amazon is still a breathtaking place and for all the I wish I could do it more independantly commenst from travellers I wouldnt fancy getting lost there

The other thing which gets overlooked is an old fashioned trip around Europe culture and history on our doorstep and loads of countries to choose from plus one currency now and you can use switch card

Yeah I've heard only good things about Cancun/Peurto Vallarta and apparently prices are pretty reasonable.
I had a few days in the seychelles back in the 70's en route from Mombassa to Bombay , It was a paradise but couldn't afford it nowadays.

Cisse are you speaking dutch or afrikaans ?

Two continents I HAVEN'T visited Taff are South America and Australia .I have knocked about a bit . Once hitchhiked from South Africa to the UK via India.
Also spent many years in SE Asia.
What am I looking for (apart from the end of the rainbow ?  :)  )
Well most places I've enjoyed have been the ones us old hippies discovered before the tour operators did. Right now I'm considering China as it is opening up and there must be loads of good  places as yet unspoiled by package tours.
Having said that Cisse mentioned Mexico and altough it's firmly on the tourist map , a couple of weeks there could be good ,and I love mexican food.
:D

Would love to ,but I'll have to pack the Missus off first .  :D

Saw something the other night about the Maldives . Apparently with climate changes they are being slowley submerged. Most of them will disappear within the next 100 years.
Bummer  :(

australia's a fantastic country woof woof. infact i'd love to live out there. i went to watch the british lions rugby team over there in 2001 and had a fantastic time, even though it crippled me financially. :(
