Carragher !!!!

Legs are gone clearly yet is picked week in week out and never subbed. His performance yesterday at Left back was anything worse than what Insua done there yet this kid was shipped out, we re-sign our perma crock Aurelio, and buy another journey man perma crock Konchesky.

Kelly was on the bench yesterday and would have done a better job than Carra even though its not his position.

Carra was that fucked in the end he ended up on the right wing and Raul was sent to left back.

I still remember Carra throwing a wobbler last season when Rafa said he only wanted to give him a one year contract and couldnt guarentee him a starting place every week. Carra went to his mate Bascombe and threatened to leave for Bolton whether you like Rafa or dislike him he was right in this instance.

Who comes first our vice captain or Liverpool F.C.?

When we played Boro a few seasons ago Carra refused point blankly to play RB and said to Rafa its your fault for signing sh!te in the summer, so Im not playing there.

Now we have Gerrard playing in his favoured position in CM and not behind Torres which brings out the best in Torres no he is playing where he wants to play and Carra is playing every single game, and Roy wont drop him he knows this, and Roy wont tell Gerrard where he is best playing either, hence their shouting from the roof tops of getting Roy in and Rafa out.

Dont underestimate player power it happens at quite a few clubs Terry & Lampard at Chelsea they got rid of Mourhino.

Remember him bollocking Arbeloa because he lost the ball he nearly puched him all over the place, that wasnt Arebloas fault that was carraghers and he gave some excuse that he wanted Reina to keep a clean sheet. This was not good atall.

I love our scouse duo but I am starting to open my eyes a bit and maybe they do have to much influence on what goes on at Liverpool.

What does everyone else think?

I think its all speculation to be honest

Agree. He just hoofs it as well. the guy is a legend, but hes past it. Stevie said on LFC just last week he thinks Carra can play top football at 'pool for 3 more years... i cant see him staying 3 more games. We need passers from defence with some pace

Reading that article in the Indy it's ironic Carra threw a wobbler for playing at RB but was playing LB yesterday.

Not to mention the references to him possibly leaking that info to the press. Rafa had to put up with Parry and Purslow from the board and now it looks like he had to deal with Carra too.

I posted this in another topic as well but here goes...

In my opinion, Stevie and Carra probably had a big say in Rafa getting sacked and Roy appointed. Them 2 would of wanted an English manager.

I saw Stevie on football focus and some interviews from Carra and they seem to feel personally responsible in some ways and are desperate to justify it.

Its also a coincidence that Gerrard now starts every game in CM. (His preffered position). But what can we expect when the manager has to beg players to stay at the club?

Roy is not a good enough manager to handle these players. We need someone to tell these players to shut the f.uck up and play were they're played.

i know its like a conspiracy theory but there is plenty of evidence. Carra starts every game at CB and never gets questioned. Stevie starts every game at CM, as he likes. Joe Cole has to be in the team at all times. Another England international Johnson seems to be in the team every week despite some desperate performances.

Torres and Gerrards relationship seems to have broken down. (i havent heard stevie back him in public).

There was also rumours that Carra and Gerrard had a bust up with Rafa last season during the Reading game.

I know its all speculation.... but there might be something in it all.

Him and Gerrard hold too much power at the club, end of.

It's the usual nonsense. Anybody who puts their heads above the parapet and dares to criticise anything to do with Benitez is in for it. The minute Carra said it probably was "time for a change" his days were numbered. The Benitez moonie clan lives long and strong.

On a more serious note, he is still the best defender at the club by a mile. This says as much about the others as it does about carra unfortunately.

So what did you make of him playing left back yesterday?

We were short on left backs?

He should NEVER have been left back. Hes got more pride than any on the team but he no pace and cant pass the ball and all that, its sad as hes a legend but he needs to play cb, and not as often as he used to.

I think it was more to do with him refusing to play at Boro that day and then saying in dressing room in front of everyone "it’s your fault for buying :censored:

in summer"

Sorry but it doesn't matter who the manager is, that sort of behaviour isn't on.

Insua probably would have done a better job yesterday.

Carra has been past it for a long time. Its a sad state of affairs but his legs are gone.

In an ideal world he would be a great utility squad player we could rely on who would fill in here and there and get about 25 starts a season. But Carra wont do that: he's made it abundantly clear that if he's not first choice he's off.

I like Carra but he's no where in the category of the loyal servants and legends we had in the past. Read his book, while he clearly loves Liverpool he loves Jamie more.

cant agree with that BM. Agger is currently the best defender we have at the club. Probably, at the moment in time, followed by Kelly.

Nail on head Mick.

Carra has been on the slide since we reached the CL final in 2007. Although I did think his performances had picked up this season in comparison to last. But he'd be first defender on my teamsheet every single day of the week still. The rest of them are bollox. Skrtel is the worst, he's Championship standard, he honestly is.

As for player power, I'm sure it goes on, but what do you do? Get rid of Carra and Gerrard? Get real.

I'm not saying get rid. I'm just merely saying they have too much power, in the same way that Terry has far too much power for Chelsea and England. It's a well known fact that Gerrard and Carragher had a large part to play in the last manager going. Unfortunately we live in an age whereby players can just choose which managers they want to play for.
