I watched England a couple of times, playing Northern Ireland in WC qualifiers (the away was at OT :O ).

Didn't seem to be a huge amount of passion from the England supporters.

Another yawn anti England thread. You have a go at players again cigs but when they mention Liverpool you wont mention a word?
Are english fans the only violent fans? You obviously have never read ANYTHING about any other countries hooligan problems that rival our 80s form

It's good to support England, its good to have abit of patriotism... as for violent fans... you get violent fans in all walks of life.
World Cups and Euro cups are a great excuse to go to the pub or have a BBQ, sing and dance as England score...

No I wont cheer on Terry, I'll laugh when he messes up, but the tournament itself, its great to wear the St George, show a bit of pride for once and hope for a good tournament.

Anyone who just wants to whine and moan about the world cup, about Terrys dad or 60 year old drunks having fights, go somewhere else and do it, some of us are looking forward to this glorious event, where Stevey has a chance to lift the world fricking cup as England captain... I think a few Scousers might actually cheer that maybe?

This is pretty much why I'm looking forward to the World Cup

I'm not massively bothered about winning it, I certainly won't shed any tears when we go out but if we win it I'll certainly be partying. Might as well enjoy it everyone it only happens every four years
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Cant wait for the world cup me.
Especially after missing out on the euros 2 years ago. It feels like a while since we have had a big tournament to look forward to.
I will have a big house party in ours on Saturday with kids and all that.

Then going to see John Bishop on Sunday, boss weekend planned.

It's on SSN as well, the whole game it looks like. 2-0 so far...

I think by the end of the tournament we will all be so used to the Vuzuvuelas that we will want them over here. Maybe not.... I'm getting used to them though.

Heskey missed a good chance not too long ago.
