Well where do I start?

I used to want them to do well but something happened to change all that the shame the England fans have brought on us for years, smashing places up, fighting with any rival fan who just happens to be walking past.

Booing the national anthem of the opposing team no respect.
The British media bigging them up then absoluty slaughtering them when they get knocked out in the quarters which is on a regular basis.

Ive no time for John Terry the ex England Captain but he lost his captancy due to the British media going undercover to sell tabloids because he was sh@gging Wayne Bridges wife, so fucking what? whats it got to do with the British public who john terry sleeps with? Are peoples lives so sad and empty that they need to know this?

Then we had his mother shop lifting and his dad tricked into telling a NOTW undercover reporter where he could buy coke, this is the same British media that want to praise the England captain to the hilt when he is captain for England but ruin that for him, bring shame on him and make the man lose his captancy just to sell a newspaper/toilet roll.

Yeah the English media are quite good at it remember Beckham? He had an affair also, castigated, called every name under the sun, sent off against the Argies what did England fans and the british media do?

They wanted the mans blood the baying mob would have killed him had they got their hands on him, he had to go into hiding, he was single handidly blamed for England not being good enough to win the world cup, it wasnt Beckhams fault you see its just that England where not good enough to win it anyway, but lets not let the truth get in the way lets burn him at the stake England fans & the British media with their pitch forks burnt the man at the stake and made his life a living hell, just like they where to do to john terry years later.

Then we had the booing of Peter Crouch England fans shouting obsenities in his direction when he was on the pitch then he started banging the goals in now they do his robot dance when he scores silly b@stards.

Our very own captain every ground we visit he gets booed by England fans because he missed a pen, from the likes of stoke, Hull, Villa and other no mark clubs around the country because England are not good enough to win trophys lets all booo Stevie G arnt we great we must really get to him, do you fuck you soft b@stards.

Carragher jesus christ never heard uproar like it in my life cause he's back in the squad WAHHHHHHH Carragher, BOOOOOOO Carragher scouse b@stard not good enough etc etc............

Glen Johnson cant defend shite him, yeah thats the spirit nothing like building a players confidence up is there? Making him nervous and prone to mistakes.

Anyway Ive rambled on enough I hate the brass band from Blackburn playing the great escape with the banging of the drum, I hate the WAGS, I hate the England song, I hate the "Who are ya" chants when they score a goal, I hate the BOOING something that England fans seem to love doing to their hero's, I hate the England flag with small town names written across them, the only thing I actually do like about England at the momment is the manager and the Liverpool players.

Apart from that I dont actually give a damn, as I can forsee whats going to happen already they will be talked up for weeks in the British press and SSN how they are going to win the whole tournement and bring back the WC trophy, but they will go out in the quarters, will be castigated call fit to burn, our captain will bare the full brunt of it if he stays fit long enough to play in it, the loyal wonderfull England fans will want to burn them at the stake along with the british tabloids.

Oh well theres always always Euro 2012 for the whole thing to repeat itself again, cant wait :)

I know what you mean the tabloids are the single biggest factor of our failure for the past 20 years.

I agree with a lot of your points but not with the Terry/Bridge one. In any other normal circumstance i'd agree, but what Terry did was destructive to the dressing room. He essentially sh!t on his own doorstep. You can't have a captain whose actions affect your personal and working relationship with other players. It became untenable.

A question to any others who are English but don't support England -

Why will you support Spain (because of Torres) but not England (bacause of Gerrard)??

Makes no sense whatsoever.

good post.

England weren't good enough to even qualify for the Euros but once you qualify the media go into overdrive that this time you can win it. It is good for business, sells papers, televisions, pubs get packed, football magazines and jerseys sell etc. Such mass brain washing is big business.

I have no interest in any footballers life never mind the so callled WAGS. Beckham has made more money than Zidane FFS.

I feel sorry for the proper fan that would enjoy having a drink and a laugh with some fans from other countries (isn't that what sport is about?) but the idiot brigade who think they are conquering some country will ruin it.

who'll be the media scapegoat this time?

I remember when the dutch knocked Ireland out of the qualifying for euro 96 (at anfield) having a massive booze up with a bunch of dutch fans at a university pub in Ireland. I thought they were great fun all the way through ( maybe they just knew they'd win :D )

Im glad you made this thread Cigs. I wanted to ask is it wrong to support England if you are a Liverpool fan? I know the media are absolute scum in this country but it seems that a lot of Liverpool supporters do not generally support England. Is it totally for the reasons above or does it go back to something else? But the way I look at it some of our best players play for England and if they are giving it their all for their country then should that not be reciprocated from the fans?

There is that age old thing where it would seem wierd to cheer on a goal scored by an Evertonian ex manc player ect...

Maybe it comes down to the fact that I am not originally from Liverpool so I am missing something? Either way id like someone to put me straight.

Following england

every few years there is a chance to back the country you live in and to show pride that you, Every few years there is a time when differences between fans are put to one side.
A time when you all come together.
my first world cup that sticks in my mind was world cup 1982. why did it stick in my mind? well my dad was an gooner and his friend was a west ham fan, but yet they sat there cheering for the same team.

in school was all had to pick a team, we all picked England but only one could....i got Scotland and was not happy about it.

as a kid this was the first time that i understood that when it come to England games we was all one.

in later years i started to go to England games, i would meet other fans from all over England, yes in the later 80's there were still fights....but england fans would fight alonside england gfans, liverpool fans standing with Man U fans.

yes in the late 80's i was part of a livepool lot that ran at the Man U fans at a trian station.......and lost.

in the 90's it was pubs and England games, loved it.

the feeling yougot when we won was great, just like liverpoll winning but this time the whole ok the England was with me.

the media have done thier best to put the england fans down, but they dont see the real thing thats going on, due to the 70'80s other fans over the world still wish to fight us.
yes there are still some england fans that are still up for it.

I was in france at a England game, the police over there just stood at looked at us as we sat outside drinking, they also just stood there when we got ran at by other fans...what did the polce do then, well they also come at us, hitting us and beating us...why, we was English thats why.

I was at a england game in france with 20 liverpool fans, we took stick from other england fan but also gave it back and then sit down for a drink with them.

as a liverpol fan i know what its like to have the media looking at us all the time, just the same as being an England fan.

I love being an England fan, we are always the underdogs.
Going to england games is a great way to meet other football fans .

do i put England over Liverpool.....no, i back England when they play, they are not the same thing, its great when the England team has Liverpol players in it, it feels more like home.

England is a better place to live during the time that the team is doing well.

as you say on here a lot, dont trust what you read in the press, and that is very true when it come to the engalan fans.

haha thats sounds terrible doesnt it :D

Thats another thing these arrogant, miserable, b@stards, dont look at you all year round if they smile its only cause they are passing wind.
But yet when the streets get decorated with orange flags and banners and they have parties running outside hugging and kissing you when holland score like your their long lost mate, you will see these same people the day after and the day after that and if you say hello the look they give back could possibly kill you.

You don't sound ashamed of dragging football into the gutter in the 1980s.
