I'm always on a the Universtiy Network so my bandwidth depends on the amount of usage going on... it's usually sh*t fast though. :D :p

Mines a 512 broadband at home and at work although when I log on at my parents house (once or twice a week) I have a snail slow 56k which really only manages 13k a sec at the very best.

As Greenred suggested in General Chat, those people on 56kbit dial up should switch off avatars, images etc in their personal control panel so as to speed things up.

Just over 20% polled that they have a slow 56k connection, and I supect the figure could be a lot higher.

There's been a profileration of visual signatures recently and maybe we might have to limit the size of these so as to protect our 56k members (many sites do this).

However, as Greenred said before, 56k should turn off avatars, images etc in their control panel to speed things up.

The additional advantage to 56k users who switch off images is that they won't have to look at pictures of Dom1 anymore.  :D
