Who has ever been reminded of something or somewhere/someone, by a smell. For me, when i clock Hot Tar being layed i usually hang around for a good 5 minutes breathing it all in...where i get spirited away with the moment!  Love the stuff.  Others say, petrol fumes or fresh coffee/Bread etc do the biz. Tippex, Evo, Weed and the like aren't allowed (nice as they are :D )  F**k it - they're allowed!

But what are your favourite pongs. What do you like to sniff.....i'll best leave that up to your own creative imaginations!  Bound to be a load not able to make the list of 10.

You did miss another important waft Red, The scent of a woman especially walking on past on a lovely summers day. That would just get the testosterones (sp) going.

Also summer related back in England I used to enjoy the smell of grass that had just been cut, twas a beautiful vibe during summer and that smell for me was the smell to say 'Summer has arrived'.

RE: The opening line of my intro....'someone'.

Floating past my senses with a whiff of Issey Miyake...could detect her a mile off. Ah well, times move on...every time i smell that now i get all nostalgic. Point of the whole thread really. Oh and btw option 9 will cover that kind of 'scent'   :D

Fried Onions for me off that list - mmmmmm! :D

There's a particular perfume that women have - I don't know what it is, but it's absolutely perfect, and would be my fave smell ever if I knew what it was called. Really makes you want to get busy. :D

I saw Fried Onions first at the top of the list and I was like, "WTF?"

But I did get your point after thinking about it.

Yes. Love that smell. :D

I put my vote in for cookies. Baking. Cookies. My knees wobble everytime i smell them.

But I'd add that " that new car smell " comes in a close second for me.

They should make that into cologne or something.

Option 10. Other.

Specify:

1.- Some basque forest. Strong fresh and penetrating.

2.- La Rioja valleys of fruit trees. You can smell fresh, yet the peaches trees or the plum trees gives the air a milder touch and it's relaxing

3.- Beach side, with mixed salpetre and the smell of fried sardines

The smell of nature affects me more than any human related smells like the one of recently made coffee, the smell of gastronomy, which are pleasant but could never relax or make me feel like the ones of nature.
