Wayne Routledge, Currently on loan at portsmouth from tottenham a natural right footed right winger. Ive been watching him for a few weeks and he is looking great and it wouldnt hurt to make a offer for him

Your thoughts?

Not sure on Wayne, he looks like quite a promising prospect but remember he's English so the chances are he's going to be rather expensive n I doubt Rafa will be wanting to spend £10m or so on a player who hasn't done much in his career.

I've seen him play down at the Palace and he has some ability. The thing is though, he must be only a shade over five feet tall and does get muscled out of it by combative full-backs. Spurs have loaned him out because he has come a distinct second best behind Aaron Lennon the impressive young lad they got from Leeds.
His was a classic example of misrepresentation by his agent IMHO. I know at Palace they were of the opinion that he would be far better off staying where he was and getting regular football to further his developement. Now, I can probably see him ending up back where he came from but for a fairly nominal fee, probably no more than 1.5mill'.
Not good enough for Liverpool I don't think.

I don't think he would be a good pickup considering we have two different options set to arrive for the right wing in the next year or two....we already have Mark Gonzalez scheduled to arrive this summer following his loan spell in Spain to get his passport issues handled, combined with the good form of Paul Anderson, whom I think we need to give a first team runout within the next year.  What do you guys think?

He looks okay but I agree with Bigmick, he looks a bit lightweight.

I think Pennant would be a better bet

I don't see him as a Liverpool player myself, a bit lightweight for my liking and too inconsistent!
We need to push on next season to challenge for the title and the champions league!
We must aim higher than Routledge!
