I said it a few months ago, Thiago will not play in any serious capacity for us again. Best we forget about him IMO.

If Matip is out for the season then it's a real head scratcher how he's getting a new contract.

Anyone got the latest on when we can expect Jota back? Still Bajcetic actually kick a ball in anger this season? Any word on TAA (though I hope he's not played at RB again)?

Latest reports say that almost everyone should be back after the international break or soon after that. For Jota in particular, some reports say that he might be even training individually already. Alisson might take longer however.

Not a popular post...

I loved Andy Robbo but I feel it's a good time to offload him for a decent fee

His body is starting to break down while playing elsewhere and he can only play a small handful of games for us. Sentiment aside,  the good of the team must come first

He certainly has a lot of miles on the clock and there is always going to be a point where he declines, the smart move is to move him before that happens. He is 30 which is getting old for a full back that needs to cover as much ground as we need. His stock is still high but declining so yes, we probably should move him on. He has been a integral part of our success with Klopp, will always be fondly remembered like some of the greats.

Just reading in the Echo today, though I don't know how they know. It seems a number are still out for the next game. Konate, Bajcetic obvs, Robbo touch and go, Jota not ready, TAA training on his own in the gym, Ali still out (delighted his equal number 1 in my opinion is ready)

Allison, TAA, Chiesa and Elliot all available from November 24th vs Southampton.
Jota back from November 27th vs Real Madrid.

Nice to have a fully fit squad.

Remember Jayden Danns?
UPDATE: Danns has been sidelined since the end of September with a serious hamstring injury, the latest in a series of unfortunate fitness issue for the 19-year-old. This Is Anfield understands he was meant to return to parts of training last week but had a small setback, meaning a full return is not expected until February.

Under Klopp we got a lot of injuries and they said it was because of his high intensity style. Last year Slot came along with his control and less intensity style and we didn’t get any real injuries, we thought this was the way. This year we have had a bad year for injuries but the style if anything is less intense than last year with less running. What changed? Is it just luck?

Indeed we have been unlucky this season with injuries considering the type of injuries we've had; Leoni ACL, Connor ACL, Isak broken leg etc. these injuries don't depend on high or low intensity.

But on the other hand we've had injuries to Ekitike a few times now, Bradley a few times before this one, Frimpomg had a few injuries, Gakpo etc. so it's not like we don't have regular absentees this season apart from the unlucky ones.

The lower intensity SHOULD result in less injuries like we saw last season, but it's hard to tell if it's true given what we've seen so far this season.
