Madrid decides to increase the bid by Xabi Alonso
The transaction could close in 30 million.

C. C. Colino / G. Colino / G. Balagué | 01/08/2009 Balagué | 01/08/2009

. The saga seems that Xabi Alonso could be coming to an end. . After the player officially requested their transfer through the transfer request and return to resume the talks between the two clubs, Liverpool and now Real Madrid are in the push and pull of negotiations.  The Reds called on Thursday for 35 million over five goals. . The white body was 25 or in default a player more money. They have now returned to Madrid to talk and decided to increase its financial offer.

. Florentino Perez who has been given the green light to negotiate for an amount a little higher. . But it will never be the 35 million who asked the British. The agreement could be completed in 30 million, a figure that, according to sources consulted by AS, it would be ready to accept Liverpool, but would include some one million more for incentives.

AS As reported in yesterday's edition, the Madrid has been given time until Monday and, if not accept the latter offer, will settle the issue by Xabi Alonso. In the white club breathes optimism and expects to complete the operation successfully.

In addition, the reopening of negotiations in Madrid have been alerted to several European teams and, as announced from Anfield, "the mother could find a surprise." Chelsea and Manchester City showed interest this summer but were told that the priority was for the Real Madrid footballer. In Italy, it seems that the two Milan teams might be willing to sabotage the operation.

Salida. Output.
The Milan has about 15 million euros to sign, although his preference would be to spend on a striker. But have to Pirlo in the market because the player looking for a change of scenery and Xabi could be his replacement. The interest is another issue which has many midfield, but they are cutting or similar that they lack the ball over Xabi (Cambiasso, Stankovic, Vieira). Have sufficient budget to close the topic in the 35 million calls that Benitez and Mourinho is a great admirer of the Spanish midfielder.

Mañana jugará contra el Espanyol Tomorrow will play against Espanyol
Xabi viajará mañana tarde a Barcelona tras entrenarse en Melwood. Xabi will travel to Barcelona tomorrow afternoon after training at Melwood. The footballer is recovered from some discomfort in the ankle that prevented him from playing all the minutes of the recent tour of Liverpool. How much has not participated yet, Rafa Benitez has no intention to make you relax and be against Espanyol. Maybe Sunday is the last day to view the Liverpool shirt, or even necessary to return to England with the team. The footballer also expects good news and hopes that the assignment of Liverpool.

From what i can understand there  it looks liketheve upped there offer to 30 million Euros with possible add ons

heavily linked to Villa today... could it be that we'll be shipping out Alonso, moving Gerrard back to Alonsos spot, and Villa comes in to play the Gerrard role ? and before anyone tells me that Villa isnt an attacking midfielder.... well neither was Gerrard last season... he was a forward... same way Rooney is a forward and same way Ronaldo was one when he was played down the middle for Utd....

anyways... would certainly make our starting 11 look stronger even if its just on paper.... but we'd still need to figure out where the money to bring in backup players would come from.... that said, id still think it would be brilliant business for us if we can pull it off even if it meant the end of the Gerrard-Torres partnership....

Its all about the number of goals scored by the side and i have no doubt that Torres-Villa-Gerrard would score more (regularly) than Torres-Gerrard-Kuyt...
