Last I heard was that he was released by Man City, but does anyone know if he's retired or just unable to find another club ?

If he is unable to find another club then it seems a shame that no-one is in for him. He can still play some excellent football and on a free maybe could answer our right side of midfield problem being an ex-red and all that.
I'll probably get shot down for saying that, but in my opinion he is no worse a player than the likes of Solano and Stelios and would probably do just as good a job as those two and is of a similar age, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Also, if he is struggling to find another club, wages shouldn't be as high as they once were so he could be worth a gamble for a season or so. At the end of the day, he knows what it's like to play for Liverpool so would probably up his game if he pulled on the red shirt again.

he announced his retirement at the same time as city relased him, he had an on-going injury (achilles I think) and decided to call it a day

expect a book or two and a bit of tv punditry cos he's a bright lad and could make another fortune out of that

but the way of his exit was probably worse then owen

off topic, but maybe we get denilson instead(not possible though, since he just went out on loan n betis is the same group as us). we dont have any decent left wingers.

He's probably playing for a sunday league team and doing what he does best........ Standing around and pointing

I know 2 Man City season ticket holders and they commented on it too, all he used to do is point all through the game

I hate the c**t, he was my favourite LFC player until he wore that Real pin badge in his suit while he was traveling with Liverpool :angry:

mcmanaman was my favourite player, and was well gutted when he left especially on a BOSMAN.
i'd love to see him on the tele again. he'd be better than ally and townsend anyhow!
