I watched Auxerre a few times this season and I have been impressed by there 18 year old defender Younes Kaboul.

Maybe he's one we should keep an eye on for the future. Or we could sign him now and bring him through the club.

I WOULD REALLY STAY CLEAR OF BUYING ANYBODY ELSE IN THE FRENCH LEAGUES - LOOK AT SOME OF THE BUYS WE HAD AND THE MISTAKES Mr GH MADE BUYING IN YOUNG PROMISSING PLAYERS THAT BASICALLY COULDNT CUT THE MUSTARD IN THE PREMIERSHIP. CISSE AS MUCH AS PEOPLE MAY SLATE HIM WAS A PHENOMENEM WHEN HE PALYED, TOP SCORER ETC...... AND HE HAS STRUGGLED GREATLY IN THE PREMIERSHIP, WHETHER IT IS THE PACE OR JUST A TOTALLY DIFFERENT STYLE OF PLAY IN FRANCE I AM NOT TOO SURE. PEOPLE MAY SAY THAT FRANCE ARE ONE OF THE WORLDS BEST TEAMS BUT HOW MANY OF THEIR PLAYERS ACTUALLY PLAY IN THE FRENCH LEAGUES.

I THINK RAFFA WILL STICK WITH WHAT HE KNOWS AND THAT IS THE SPANISH / ENGLISH LEAUES AND UP TO NOW HE HAS GIVEN ME CONFIDENCE THAT HE CAN SNIFF OUT GOOD BUYS AND HE KNOWS WHERE TO LOOK AND WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Well said Matt D.

Its about time we started buying some proven players instead of crossing our fingers n hoping they deliver.

So you don't think we should be scouring europe looking for the most promising youngsters that we can pick up for 200,000K or 300,000K?

Players like Cesc.

Exactly, you can save a fortune if you scout youth.

You can get them on the cheap and give them time to settle before trying them in the first team.

It's true we haven't been successful in this department.

Does that mean we should give up? Just because we haven't won the league for some time dosen't mean we give up.

Maybe we need to looks at our scouting and youth set up.

if we buy him and play him in the reserves fine. until he shows he's good enough for the premier.but at the moment our first priority should be our starting eleven and the bench, which at the moment needs alot of work doing to it.

I've also seen this boy play, and he looks like he will be a superb player.
