He's no better than what we have already to be honest. He's nowhere near Sami on the deck, in the air or in terms of composure and he's not in as good on the floor as Carragher.

More alround than both, maybe.

I'd prefere Woodgate at the right price to be honest.

I think he's over his injury problems.

King is a top player but let's be serious. tactiacally I refer you to the way that King would have trouble with our zonal defence system. They can have Josemi aswell to bring in some spanish flair.

Josemi + Traore + Cisse + 5million = King and Keane/Defoe.

i cant believe i agree with stu the red.

ive been following woodgates career for a while now. and i personally think hed be a good buy. if he can stay injury free hes a strong enough player to do real well. there are always rumours of him coming to us as well.

king is a solid player., but wouildnt pay more than 5 million for him, and thatd be a hard hit on the anfield strings.

I've heard loads of fans saying King would never leave. Why would he want to finish 9th or 10th every season?

On a serious note I have consistently said that King would be my number one transfer target, including Kujit, Simao or Joaquin. He is the real deal.

While King is a good player, he is a bit overrated in my opinion. I agree that he's no better than what we already have. We need centre back COVER in January, not someone with a big reputation who will cost all of our transfer budget and expect to play every week (Carra and Hyypia are un-droppable at the moment).

Centre back cover is top priority for us in my opinion, but the bulk of our budget has to go on attacking players. Forget King.

This Tottenham guy is clever, at least when it comes to propose an offer that it's good for him. It would be funny to have both the Queen (Reina in english) and the King.

Dawson: The little I've seen of Woodgate, I like him. But I have some sort of doubt about him: was him the guy thas was caught by the police for ppunching or something a pakistani student some years ago? I wouldn't like a bloody violent racist in the dressroom!
