I think Houllier will be here next season, regardless of whether we finish 4th or not.

I can only see two possible ways of him going at the moment:

1. Our season totally collapses: Man UTD hammer us, we lose at home to Newcastle, and someone like Boro and Fulham beat us, leaving us finishing in 7th or 8th position. This cannot be ruled out, and if it happens I think Houllier will resign.

2. Morgan (or someone else) takes over from Moores in the summer and Houllier is sacked regardless of what happens in the league this season. I think there will be a lot of movement in the summer on the running of the club, either by way of internal reform by Moores and Parry, or the club coming into new ownership. I think the issue of who runs the club will be one of the talking points of the summer.

If we finish in 4th or even 5th Houllier will probably stay on under current ownership.

I wouldn't mind if we lost every game for the rest of the season and then GH got sacked.

Maybe all the fans should chip in £20 each and give him a few million to f##k off

It will be a disgrace if Houllier survives into next season - with or without CL football

P59 L20 = not good enough

Foolier will NOT resign of his own free will. The board will have to ask for his resignation.
Have they got the nuts to do that ?
Probably not  :(  :(  :(

He should go but I have a awful feeling our board will keep him because our board dont want us to succeed because it will involve spending more money on the squad

What a nice man and genuine person, but he talks a load of sh##e after every game and never takes the blame for what he has done, cannot pick a side to save his life and turns good players into mediocre players by playing them out of position. All the players he has put on loan could have done a better job than what we have now, and as for the sh##e of Biscan smicer traore diao cheryou kewell and murphy we`ll be lucky if we finish in europe at all.

so definetly he has got to go.

I've got a feeling Houllier will go quietly at the end of the season in a 'mutual decision' 'it's for my health' kind of way.  Nothing that would imply he isn't good enough.

:) i heard he offered his resignation in oct/nov and the board asked him to remain to the end of the season. on broadcast of the marsaille game even the gol announcer spent the last 20 min discussing his downfall-- i'm sure the change will be made this summer-- i can't see how he could be standing the pressure so far, the man looks like death warmed over-- i really feel sorry for him and worry about his health
