Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Stan Laurel » Wed Dec 15, 2004 8:54 pm

Hey, I found the post from another football forum called "My Football Forum".

I can't believe what Middlesbrough fan said about those Liverpool fans in Hillsborough things. It made me feel sick.

Bring Terraces Back!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well it seems to be that the atmosphere at football ground is not what it used to be. When i was a young lad, 12 yrs old I was going to the Middlesbrough matches at Ayresome Park and it was great. Standing up, jumping around and singing just to keep yourself warm.

But ever since the Hillsborough Disaster I feel the authorities have taken the seriousness of the disaster too far. Ok allot of people died but a lot of people die on the roads each year, they haven't taken the roads away have they? Standing at football grounds is safe.

The only reason the Hillsborough disaster happened was because fans were turning up without tickets and forcing themselves into the ground. I still feel today that it wasn't the polices fault, it was the fans who were piling into the ground ticket less who are to blame.

Standing is safe simply because you can run it like you do with seats. Just have a little area with a number and your ticket has that number on. I just don't see the problem or the safety issues with this. Football has been going strong with terraces until the disaster so why was it stopped and replaced with seats?

Today people start falling asleep at games simply because they get too comfortable at the games, sitting down. When you sit down its a know fact your body is not alert as it would be standing up. You become tired, relaxed and you don't feel like shouting. On the other hand if you stand up your jumping about, shouting and very "awake".

Why do fans, especially away fans always stand up at matches? Simply because its a much better atmosphere that it is when your sitting down. Simply what I'm trying to say it terraces are safe and they need bringing back, even if its just a little corner of the stadium, I bet it would be the little corner which is always sold out!!!

This post make me very angry, I can't believe what he said about Hillsborough.[B]

Hes a t#t  .
The reason hes sayin that is cause in boros ground the seats are always empty cause they have no supporters :D
So if they where standin up no one would notice there empty seats

.. what ever views are expressed... The Taylor report has dispelled these views and those expressed by a certain "scum" news rag.. about who was to blame ... the role of supporters in helping others stay a live... giving statements and acting in a humane way during an utter catastrophe ...

PPl will always have a view .. but it is baseless and shud be treated that way...

Dippy, the best way to treat these vermin is by not dignifying their comments with a response. We are morally above them so we don't need to justify anything to them

Very good fun, admittedly but plays right into their hands unfortunately. Think I'm gonna get bladdered at the weekend and go round the corner to G&P Neville's dad's house and "do a Roberts" on the doorstep :D  Now THAT's fun   :D
