Look Lakes, I have read your post and its heartwarming that people can find forgiveness in their hearts ,but me personally my heart offers little room for any such sentiment and it never will ,Im sorry but I can not alter the truth however moving your post was .
But I genuinely feel for you fella and your grief ,you have my deepest sympathies

There was a program on tv a while back that gave a sun reporter the chance to apologise to the families of the victims. This reporter went all over liverpool city in paper shops noting the amount of shops that dont sell them. Towards the end of the program the reporter was told by one family, if you put up "WE LIED" on the front page then yes we would accept the apology, would you do that?

In which the reporter replied "No". The fact is, it is a lousy rag with lousy reporters. The front page usually gives a good idea of what the rest of it is filled with. There could be a massive disaster, say a train crash or something, and all the other press will go with something like "Train Crash kills 50", while the rag will go with "David Beckham has vasectomy !". Bah, cant believe I wasted so much of my time talking about them. There simply not worth it.

What happened was terrible but please try and remember that not all fans are aware of this link with the sun, especially fans from overseas. For example I've only been aware of this for the last 10 years or so, after another fan told me about it.
What is needed is not attacking an LFC fan who posts a link but just have a quiet word in their ear, I'm sure that when they are told the truth they will be ashamed enough.

I have been reading the comments made since my post and since I was the one who posted it and bearing in mind that it actually kick started a new thread regarding the paper in question I felt the right to reply, so here goes.

I am fully aware of how the newspaper in question is regarded. Do I feel ashamed because I heard a story on the T.V and then found and posted the story on here ? No.

I do not buy or read the paper in question and haven't since THAT day, it was a story that I thought some might find interesting as it was about Raffa.

I thought it was topical but since no one but Sabre actually commented on the story itself and would much prefer to call for my head for posting it then I was obviously wrong and for that I apologize.

I didn't recommend people go out and buy the paper, and just because they lied in the past does not make every story they print since lies.

And as not to fan the flames of this anymore than they have been already thats all I have to say about it.

Don't worrie some people on here like to go way over the top about things we are all sad about that day but taking things to the extreme is not right way to go.

Its all swings and round abouts on here some posters have jokes about people with cancer then next min saying RIP to drummer who died from it.

No, wrong. None of us on here joke about cancer. Many of the people on here have lost the best they know because of this disease. People joked on here about Jade Goody, why? well for the fact that she is, and no one can argue, a nobody built up to be an "amazing" person who has left behind "The legacy of Jade", in actual fact, she was an unintelligable chav who had a mouth as wide as the nile and wasnt afraid to open it. Comparing that to Drummerphil is so wide of the mark. What Phil went through he was constantly in thanks to his friends and worry for his family.

What she went through was "Me, me, me, my kids and more me". No comparison mate, and your obviously blinded to the opinions of many.

people laughting about her having no hair ?

that isn't a joke towards people with cancer ?

My grandmother lost her hair with treatment I find any jokes towards any woman who loses there hair with cancer treatment to be totaly out of order no mattter what type of person they was.

I see cancer ruin the lifes of people close to me and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy I find it total wrong to make fun of it.

:no

Tbh as far as phil goes ask his wife if she thinks it sits nice with her , people making fun of people with cancer I am sure she be first one to tell you to fu.ck off as she will understand what I meen.

If you lost someone like this you should understand if not you just a kun.t.

Comparing that to Drummerphil is so wide of the mark. What Phil went through he was constantly in thanks to his friends and worry for his family.

As for that poor excuess for sh.it stiring I never once said jade was like phil I said they both had cancer and that one side every one was like nice and about it to his family (which is great to support a family in these times its fanstasic and least we can do) , but on other hand people are laughting about how Jade who had cancer lost her her due to treatment which just makes who ever look two faced.

I never spoke to or met phil and I feel very sorry for him and his family to have gone through that don't make out that I am trying to belittle his name you bullsh.it merchant.

No, no you didnt, my fault for not making my point clear. My point was the difference in attitudes between the two and got lost in my own "uppity" way, so for that I apologise for making you sound like a git. The point I wanted to make was, there is little sympathy for her because, you cannot class her as a person who people like. But Phil was a person who everyone on here did like, the class in attitudes are worlds apart.

Again, I apologise for my wording and misunderstanding.

Can one of the Mods lock this thread now ? ,the response Ive quoted should be reason enough ,it highlights in the extreme the ignorance that is still yet to rear its ugly head  .Passions run high on such issues as Hillsborough ,and this thread will seriously run close to a new low  :no
