We don't need Canizares, as i think we have the makings of an international class keeper in Kirkland.  I think Ayala has seen better days and I'd rather we bought a younger centre half, whereas I see Ayala as a short term solution.  I'd love Aimar, i think he's class and could be a revelation at Anfield.

Madrid and the shambles that is their defence would probably like Gary Neville, doesn't mean it's the answer.  I'd still take him but Sami over 30 now and Ayala already 31 i do think we need a younger quicker centre half.

Aimar has not been a regular this season for Valencia for reasons unknown to me (I've followed La Liga on and off this season). For the occasion I watch him played, he is abosolute CLASS!

I'm glad that Santa agrees with me that Aimar is class.  Of the three, he is the one that i would take first.  With Benitez hopefull coming though does the fact that he has not been a regular this season say something to you about their relationship?

it's not nessaserily how many he scores but how many he creates.

while we are at it why don't we go for Ariel Ortega now that lad is good remember how he caused us the most problems in Japan in 2002.

I'd love to know why Aimar wasn't played regularly last year.  If Benitez kept hinm on the bench so often why is he anxious to bring him to Anfield.  That said, at 24 years of age he has the same age profile as Michael Owen and Steve Gerrard.

Ruben Baraja coupled with Pablo Aimar would grace any midfield in europe
