ok with all the talk of investors it seems that a lot of people are confused with whats happening! basically there is two offers on the table:

Liverpool FC today confirmed that it had received two indicative proposals for investment in the club. These will be presented to the Board of Directors.
A further announcement will be made in due course.

its obviously the thai prime minister and steve morgan!
who would u prefer?

Morgan mate, easy choice really. Do you choose a Liverpool fan or some bloke who's not even spending his own money and said he supports Man Utd when they visited Tailand.

Its not even the thai bloke who is doing the deal now, it is the actual thai government who are investing.
I think Morgan wants to sell some shares as well so they can be brought back by the chairman or something. Its all very confusing. i thought our owner was pretty loaded anyways ;)

imo it's never good to sell a club to foreign investors! in switzerland we have a really sad thing happening to a small pro club called 'FC Wil'. formerly USSR international igor belanow and some ukrainian investors bought the club last year, and now it is almost bancrupt. as soon as there are problems they ran away!

Can't be anyone else but Morgan. He's putting more money into it, he's putting his own money into it which means a lot and hes a life long Liverpool supportrer say no more

Lets stick to Steven Morgan than someone with Human Rights abuse. What if that money is from public funds?

I think Moores is being too selfish and look taking the interest of the club at heart but his rights on the club. Morgan only needs a sit in the board give. Or if that is not all at satke then let the clubs let make clear the delaings of Morgan so we know his intentions.

yeah i agree with all of u, and was pretty much expecting everyone to say morgan!
i would like him having a seat on the board as he wants success and knows that 4th is not good enough for liverpool, he also questioned some of houlliers signings which is why i feel he would have a say in future signings, put it this way he would seriously question a transfer if houllier was bringing in another biscan, he will only accept quality at this club and more signings like kewell and finnan will only be acceptable good established players who can bring that bit extra to the team!

i really hope our voice can be heard though

any suggestions?

"This proposal will keep ownership of the club with its supporters, where it rightfully belongs," said Morgan.

Morgan plans a rights issue with the aim of raising £61m and a share issue which would generate £12m more.

"This proposal will also inject £73m of new capital to strengthen the playing squad and help finance the proposed new stadium," Morgan added.

HERE HERE!

this thai bloke wont even admit where the money s coming from:
Thaksin's bid was on Tuesday said to be nearing completion, but there is uncertainty about whether the £60m he will spend is coming from his own pocket or Thailand's public funds.

"Let's wait until Thailand buys the team before going into details whether we spend Thais' money or the private sector's," Thaksin said.

DEFINITELY ALLOW MORGAN ONBOARD, WHY DOESNT THIS THAI BLOKE INVEST IN EVERTON, THEY HAVE NO HUMAN RIGHTS :D

As I've posted on this forum before, the greatest club this country has ever seen is being run by a mix of self seeking little empires who are there for themselves.
Steve Morgan, though I've never met the man, appears to be a true supporter who through hard graft has got himself in the position to make a difference to the club. His money is his own and he's putting it where his mouth is but the downside to the powers in post is that they would become accountable. There is no way they would allow it - far better is to sell the soul of the club to some half arsed gangster from the far east and gloss it up with a load of ****** about an "Asian Academy". Completely understandable with all the great players coming out of a population of 2+billion - Anyone name  one?

Morgan for me!
He deserves it for the sheer effort he has made to get a seat on the board!
I'm sure he is putting alot on the line to help LFC

Dont trust this thai proposition it sounds a bit too dodgy for me!

It is very difficult decision to decide, but they are both sensible lad and look after their money very well.

Are you sure do you want Steve Morgan to buy the share, one problem is that he want Liverpool FC to groundshare with Everton, do you all want that? No!

But I trust Steve Morgan more than Thai Prime Minister because I don't know about Thai's Prime Minister's backgrounds.
Also I don't like Steve Morgan's plan you know Groundshare with Everton, so that's the problem.

Listen guys, I know I may use this phrase quite a bit in my posts, but I a torn between what my heart tells me and what my head wants me to think. Let me explain.....

My heart tells me that the only person that should be allowed to invest in this way is Steve Morgan. The man is Liverpool thru and thru, and he is doing exactly what everyone of us would do in that position. If I had hundreds of millions, I would put as much as was financially possible into the beautiful lady I have loved since the age of four. Liverpool FC. Steve Morgan will give the fans views a chance to be aired in the boardroom, a place where most of us would give our right testicle for a chance to put our points and ideas across. The Thai PM is simply after a non executive, silent partner type of seat on the board, what use is that? Steve Morgan also wants to allow us, the simple fan who doesnt own a multi million pound company the chance to own a little peice of the thing which we hold most dear. This Thai PM doesnt even know where Bootle, Speke and Croxteth are. Steve Morgan is a Liverpool fan, unlike this Thai PM who supports whoever is going to make him the most money. My heart says that Steve Morgan is the man.

On the other hand....

My head says that this Thai PM guy has a much bigger personal wealth than Mr Morgan, therefore in the long run he is the best financial option. The Thai primeminister has not requested any kind of say in the day to day running of the club, and the present board can carry on running the club as they always have. Steve Morgan has publicly challenged and disagreed with the current board, and the last thing we need is backstabbing and unrest in the boardroom when we need a steady ship with all aboard sailing in the same direction. Steve Morgan wants to pump money in in exchange for a seat on the board, the Thai PM will build an academy of football in his country, increase our global appeal in the far east and increase revenue thru shirt and merchandise sales in a continint with 2bn potential fans. My head says the Thai option is the best.

I could go on for months with the pros and cons, but I trust the descision to the board, and I am sure they will leave no stone unturned in finding the solution.

WE LOVE YOU LIVERPOOL WE DO,
WE LOVE YOU LIVERPOOL WE DO,
WE LOVE YOU LIVERPOOL WE DO,
OOOH LIVERPOOL WE LOVE YOU.
