Seen him a few times on soccer AM and i think he should be playing at a much higher level. Should we sign him?

Ideas?

No :p

Seriously though, he is good and has a lot of talent but definetly lacks pace, which could hinder his progress in the Prem League!!

But at the same time, I think he could make it, just not at a MASSIVE club, like ourselves and the other usual suspects, but put him into a Wigan/West Ham/Bolton etc; then he may just do a job for them.
I would say he deserves a chance at a higher level though, because he has been consistent for a good few years now.

Just wanted to add, that he reminds me of Matt Le Tissier, great ability, but no pace!

Cant see Rafa, buying him though!!

Too big a step up IMO, and don't forget he's a bluenose!!

He is a good player but his showboating and fancy tricks wont come off in the premiership.

He a fat man with some skills, we've all seen similar likes on the pitch in saturday league. Theres alway the bloke who has so much potential if he wasn't so fat, Lee Trundle is another.

I think he's done well getting to the level he's playing presently, i mean a few coaches must of turned a blind eye to the weight issue on more than one occasion

I hear Villa are interested and another Premiership team (possibly Charlton) To win the league you need top quality players and not players who can "do a job", regardless of how cheap they may be. Let's leave fishing in the lower leagues for the also rans

Well I definately don't agree with that but that's another debate.

On the question of Trundle, though I rate him as a good player he isn't one for us in my view. It's very hard to imagine him playing regularly in our team and the idea of him coming off the bench just doesn't hold water unfortunately. Fitness and physique are definately a problem for the fella and god only knows how big he'd get if he wasn't getting a regular start.
I would however fancy him if I was a Sunderland fan or maybe our friend the moosh from Pompey. FWIW I do believe he could make the step-up to the Premiership.

Because you said he wasn't prem material and I cited interested prem clubs.

thank you, but i still feel that at his age and inexperience of top flight football makes him unfit to play in such a fiercly competetive league
