Milan Baros is definitely one of the best strikers in the world. He showed us what he was capable of doing during the Euro 2004, but has never turned out to be a goal scorer for Liverpool. I remember when he made his debut against bolton some years ago scoring a wonderful goal but we haven't seen any of this form during the past 2 years except for the national team.

Milan is one my favourite player and is a very hard worker on the field but we need someone who can score goals. He is constantly complaining of being substituted rather than concentrating on scoring goals. I think Dirk Kuyt can do the job.

I'm vey much confident that if we keep him for another year, he will definitely seek out his contract and leave on a free and LFC might lose a few costly millions. Baros already mentionned last year that he might leave liverpool but I guess none of Valencia or Lyon are still interested in his services since they signed Patrik Kluivert and John Carew respectively. Luis Garcia from midfield scored almost the same number of goals as baros.

I guess that in going to get Dirk Kuyt, Rafa Benitez though that Milan Baros would be on his way but now the player said he wanted to stay. What will happen ?

With Florent-Sinama Pongolle and Neil Mellor still plagued by injuries and if we keep Milan Baros, i guess we will have to many strikers as Rafa already stated that Fernando Morientes and Djbril Cissé are going to be key players next season. We should also not forget Anthony Le Tallec who has been impressive against Juve.

I think this has been covered in a previous post but I agree, I think it was time for Milan to leave this summer, the lads seems to complain an awful lot and also plays for himself and not for the club, plus he dropped the cup!!

Well then Lyon signed Carew last night (skysports.com) for 7.65m Euros, so thats Milan staying wouldn't ye think?
Valencia have signed Kliyvert so I think he will stay now and leave on a bossman the end of the season
Walked all over again by players 8 million down the swanny. :glare:
I like Baros dont get me wrong, but if Dirk comes in he will get the nod before Milan, so will Cisse and Morientes. And I cant bare the sour moaning face on him nor his whinging, if he gets dropped or subbed, for another season and dissin the gaffer.

I rather surprised to see him at the club still especially with Rafa employing the lone striker approach in many games.
I really thought considering  his attitude that he would be one player we would cash in to raise the our transfer kitty
Despite his flaws i do have a lot of time for Milan but he does look like he a guy who wants to move on and i rather he go on our terms rather then his

His agent has probably said stick to your guns and leave on a bossman that way Milan and his agent get a tidy sum, escpecially if he sets the WC 2006 on fire with the Czechs :O
Could'nt see him wanting to play for Houllier again anyway, he didnt get a fair crack of the whip and Heskey and Owen where always 1st choice, even though Mialn is a better player than Emile, Emile was the target man for Owen.

If we get Dirk Kuyt Baros has to go.We will have 2 many strikers and for me baros is the weakest out of them all.

.and me!

I reckon he'll stay and cover for Cisse and Morr. Probably play up on his own in the cups and on the bench in the Prem/european cup.

shame, he could of be the best in the world.  :upside:

I think that in the worst case situation that he stays, we still have one of the most deadly striking partnerships in ciise morro and baros anyway. It wouldnt be the worst thing if he stayed. You never know maybe this season could be his best, just like it was for people like Traore and Hyypia. Not many foreign players fully adapt to the premiership. At least Baros has a few years of experience.

I dont think hes gonna improve much, people lilke hypia have a much better attitute than him, hes got to want to stay and improve, but when he said hed be just as happy staying as playing at another club showed hes not as committed as others

Its not just the prem he has a problem with though, in the CL he scored against BL away leg and that was it ???  You get more time on the ball in europe and he didnt get 10 lots of sh.it kicked out of him from the teams from other leagues.
His problem is with Liverpool he went to play for Czech a week after the CL and scores 3 goals whats that all about..................... ???

Yea, his attitude isn't good at all.  There were rumors that he had fallen out with Rafa.  Plus he's always complaining about playing time.  And with new arrivals, he'll complain even more.  He has great potential, but I don't think he's the right fit for our big happy LFC family.
