Sorry if you've heard it before but..............

Bill Kenwright goes to play golf as always on his wednesday afternoon off from being a theatre impresario and chairman of a premiership football club.
On arrival he informs the club steward that he needs a partner as his usual playing partner was on business in europe and couldn't make it. "No problem sir" says the steward, "I'm sure we can find you someone of the same standard to have a round with"

Bill waits........................

An hour later the steward returns with good news, a fellow golfer has also been let down and is in need of a partner. Delighted, Bill makes his way to the first tee, where he discovers, much to his annoyance, a 2 foot 6 dwarf in short pants waiting for him.

Furious, Bill returns to the steward and demands to know where the player of the same standard he was promised, was to be found.

"Well Sir" answers the steward " You do have one thing in common"

"Such as?, you bloody oath"

"Well you do both own small clubs"
