cannt even beat POrtsmouth..this superman U guy from the other thread is rite man....... liv cant string  decent 3-4 passes...and when they can, the ball will just go ard outside the crucial penalty area.....I just cant understand why this current liv team love playing crossing??? Heskey is the only big and tall guy but always keeps himself out of the box so who can score with heading? owen? also, cheyrou is damn weak and slow, Kewell so much off form => Hou has no idea who can perform and who cannt...also no idea of what passing footbal is abt

Did you hear his usual bollox after the match ?
As for much of the season he was so proud of the players , he felt the whole team played well , and how they played superb football. He quoted possible penalty appeals and how few efforts on goal Portsmouth had. Watching the interview just gets me wound up , his smug, complacent and satisfied manner.
When he will be judged on results ?
Absolutely a f##king million miles away from winning the league after spending over £100 trying to get there.
Failing to beat Portsmouth , despite the opponents having a poor away record , despite us taking an early lead , despite us having the majority of the play.
It has been said by many others on this forum that our results in the last 16 months have not been good enough... the result is further evidence of this.
We cannot use injuries as an excuse any more either can we ?

A number of the players are good enough, the others are not. Houllier has not the skills nor tactical nous to make them into a TEAM. I reckon virtually every other manager in the league could get more out of his resources than he can.

Yes perhaps too many people have been taken in by the so called tactical  maestro and managerial master.. aka Gerard Houllier.
He was French national team manager and narrowly failed to take France to the 1994 World Cup Finals. Within 4 years France had won the World Cup and a further 2 years later they had cemented this by winning Euro 2000. Only problem is that  Houllier left the main job after failing to qualify !

5. Finland P10 W2 D1 L7 FA9-18 PTS 5
6. Israel P10 W1 D3 L6 FA10-27 PTS 5

Pretty tough group really, none of the teams a pushover. Perhaps as disastrous to the French was the home defeat to Israel, although losing twice to Bulgaria really cost them dear in the end. Small consolation that Sweden went on to finish third while Bulgaria went on to finish fourth having knocked out Germany in the process

Wenger has only made one expensive mistake (arguably) and that is Wiltord. He only spends big cash on players he knows will make it, while Houllier spends millions on "potential". Our obsession with African footballers is becoming a real nuisance, now even they have fallen out with Houllier

yeah he says we played "some fantastic football". was i watching the same game? the goal was well worked and everything else was created by gerrard. the rest of the midfield are not doing enough for me. the only thing that matters is we failed to beat PORTSMOUTH (yes portsmouth at home).

Van Bronkhost cost 8.5MIL and has done s##t all.

And it could be argued that Lauren is not worth 7.5MIL.

Richard Wright at 6.5MIL was a joke.

Van Bronckhorst has barely had a look in, Lauren is ok but I didn't realise he cost that much. No argument about Wright but he barely got a look in, same goes for Jeffers
