Mate, that's a hell of a question. I guess most of us go with the players we've admired/worshipped the most.

For what it's worth I've enjoyed

Steven Gerrards "My Liverpool Story"
Jaime Carraghers "Carra"
and King Kenny's "My Liverpool Home"

TBH Brent If I had the money and the time to read them I'd maybe buy almost all the autobiographies.

Your best bet (imo) would be to just start with your favourite player.

Read quite a few L'pool books. Carra's probably the best of the bios. Also read Stevie, Hansens and Fowlers.

Best Liverpool book for me though was Brian Reades 43 years with the one bird.

Haven't read any but I've heard that Carra's the best.

personally id rather wait till the player retires before buying their book. some players release autobiographies at a very young age. owen has 2 and the first was released when he was about 23. gerrard has 2 also and he is still playing  :lookaround .
other than what the previous posters mentioned i would add john barnes's and rushies, both i thought where a good read. next on my list is aldo's.

Cheers lads. I agree with the whole waitin on the player to retire thing. I think learning word for word how gerrard finally lifted the premier league trophy would be great reading lol... maybe go for barnes as I play the same position as he did... to start with. Il keep you posted with how i get on. Wud like to make a full 11 team of books.

The best bios IMO are from the older players who have finished their career.

Players like Carra , Robbie and Gerrard produced decent books but they were a bit flimsy

The best ones I have read are Kennys , Rush's and Thommos - great insight through a number of decades

Another good one is the book about Joe - written by his grandson.

I've got ones from Carra, Gerrard and Fowler. Am planning to buy Rush's one soon.
Anyone knows if McManaman has one too?

Fowler's was quality.

Best part is where he tells you about his Horses.... "Some horse" and "Another horse"

Carragher's was a bit cringe worthy in places... "I had to call of the boys from kicking Lucas Neills head in in".
