Good timing also! will give the chosen 1 enough time to plan for the season ahead! A new direction, quality players and a side that can make more of a challenge than last season!
Surely not too much to ask for!

i'm sad the way GH has been treated, to be fair he deserved better.

But, yes i'm happy.  The club needs new direction and that wasn't going to happen with GH in control.  He had his 'five year plan' and it didn't work.

Agreed - five year plan, six years, not enough.

The treble was THREE full seasons ago.

A manager MUST accept accountability for his decisions and for their repercussions.

Too many poor buys and too much money wasted. Pride yes, dignity yes, ambition yes, determination yes, success NO.

The time is right for him to go and for us to move on.

Good luck Mr Houllier

Bring on Mr O'Neill

yep, Liverpool (rightly or wrongly) are not Real Madrid when it comes to managers.  Bring them in, expecty instant success and then sack them 12 months later.  GH was give a lot of money, a lot of time and a lot of support.  Alas, the board have finally accepted the time for GH is up and although i wish him luck, i will be much happier when O'Niel is in :)

I am not really happy or estatic, but more relieved as Houllier, the man the Liverpool board gave so much money and support, the man of many insulting excuses has gone.

I just hope that the club is not in too much debt after picking up the expensive flops and paying for those expensive wages of these flops.

Clearly, Houllier has lost it. I keep saying that he is a good administrator, but a very poor manager. He has set up and modernise Melwood but somehow has failed to unearth any worthwhile local talents.

Anyway, here's looking forward to a brighter future for Liverpool and their legion of loyal fans like you guys.

You betcha baby, although i dislike the houllier bashing, I am glad he is gone.
Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

At 12 yesterday I was elated, but after reading his leaving statement I felt sorry for him. ( don't want him back though)

The idea of GH in charge for another season was pretty depressing, we were going nowhere and things had gone stale.

Wish him him well but no regrets he's gone, can't wait for for next season and a fresh start under a new manager!

I am ecstatic, the new guy probably won't have instant success but will have a plan, there's no plan in the world that takes 6 years to go nowhere, as the first step.
