[Quadrophenia]

Hello all.

I'm from Paradise, better known as Liverpool. My name is Quad (not really but that's what everyone calls me) because of my love for both film and soundtrack Quadrophenia. It's just the greatest film ever made.

By trade I'm a decorater although my dream job is to be a comedy writer and I've got one or two on the go, which I'll post up given the chance. I love comedies, especially the British ones. My interests go right back to the likes of Will Hay and George Formby right up to today's of Paddy and Max as well as all the classic sitcoms in between - Porridge, Rising Damp, Steptoe and Son, Only Fools and Horses, Dad's Army, The Office, The Royle Family and so on.

My other big passion is music, this time I'm not so cheerful though. My music interests are rather moody bands like Oasis, The Jam, The Who, The Kinks, Small Faces, The Enemy but I also like a lot of the 50s and 60s such as Bobby Vee, Del Shannon, The Everly Brothers and so on. As well as the origional motown music of the Drifters, Chi-Lites, Sylistics and again so on.

My biggest passion in life though is sport. I'm an avid cricket and snooker fan as well as playing the odd game here and there. Obviously I adore football of any sort but in particular Liverpool.

I didn't have much choice in the matter of who I was going to support. My dad told me the second I was born it's either Liverpool or adoption so you know, I went with the mighty reds who I've followed ever since. I get to games here and there but not as often as I'd like anymore now I have other committments such as a girlfriend and the rent to keep a roof over our heads, but still nothing stops me from watching/listening to the game on match days. My very first idol for Liverpool was Robbie Fowler, just loved watching him wear 23 and then 9. I actually cried when he came back and to give him the number 9 shirt again (after his stint with 11) was a tremendous gesture by Rafa. Shows what sort of man Mr Benitez is.

Hope I haven't bored you too much and I hope I'll enjoy this place.

Mods were always better and always will be. Rockers are scum

Mods rode bikes that couldnt power a toaster and wore waterproof kagools (SP)
Rockers drove harleys and wore leather jackets.
Th funny thing is that apart from Brighton, and even at Brighton, the Rockers kicked the living sh!te out of the mods

(but I'd be a mod 8 days a week)
