The 80's were great.  I first started supporting Liverpool in 1986, just in time for the Double, and we beat Everton to the League and Cup that Year.

It's been a love affair ever since.  Sorry for sounding sentimental, but that's the way it is.  I still have the original Grandstand from the 1986 Cup Final on Video in my flat.

At half time, frizzy Andy Gray, wideboy Terry Venables and RIP Emlyn Hughes were the match analysts.

I was 6 years old, my fondest Liverpool memory.

When you get the ball, I want you to beat a couple of men and smash the ball into the net, just the same way you used to at Bury," said Shankly. Lindsay replied: "But Boss that wasn't me, it was Bobby Kerr." Shankly turned to Bob Paisley and said: "Christ Bob, we've signed the wrong player."
