Mate there are loads of different scarves, most are bootleg ie fake,I have about 42 here(some i got in ligit shops, some bought in the streets around Anfield and some given to me) and have no clue which out of them all is genuine...black you say?
Id say its off 1990,the 1st year anniversary after the Hillsborough disaster..they made black scarves as a sign of mourning as far as I remember!

I may be wrong though and you may just have a very dirty neck! :D

Being Black and having a guess I'd say its no more than 20 years old. I think Dundalk has narrowed it down better than I have.

hi lads, update on the l/pool scarf, after looking at it i may have made a mistake:- it has a black back ground, on the ends are red tassles, then l/pool in white edged in red, then a liverbird in white, then a red chevron edged in white, and in the middle, at the top "super reds" in white, in the middle "liverpool" in black on white, and on the bottom "you'll never walk alone" in white, cheers!

I picked up a nice fake one at the Fulham game this year. It's got 5 European Cups with the score underneath each cup.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.
