Remember the FSO Polonez from the 80's? My mate's dad had one in orange. I remember him taking us to the beach one day in it and losing in a race at the lights to a mini traveller :laugh:

i take your point completely, woolly, the FSO there is a fine vehicle. and the getting beaten by a mini traveller is a priceless memory. but strictly speaking its a bit OT :D

gonna have to let the thread starter call on wether we can discuss vehicles outside the trabant/yugo class...

.. whilst back packing in Eastern Europe bak in 1991.. I had the onerous "pleasure" of sitting in a Trabant.. :( in Chekoslavkia.. as it was know then .. u lot have reminded me thanx :(

i once had a lift on the M6 in a robin reliant -  i'd love to tell the story here but i can't. don't waste this opportunity of a lifetime, zb. you'll only regret it.

... kinda embarassing really Andy .. but suffice to say the "cabbie".. was willing to take six of us .. in a car that fits just about 4 ppl.. :D .. and as cheap skate students go we didn't mind neither.. :D
