Get yourself down to Blockbuster or somewhere and rent a few of the Rocky movies out. You don't know what you're missing.

Just got back from oxford st ,doin' the last of the xmas shop . Wandered through Soho on the way back ,there's possibly the uk's best off licence down there They've got just about everything

I picked up some seven star metaxa ,a bottle of Makers Mark , a bottle of Sangsom and some Creme Catalana (a kind of spanish baileys , gotta have something for the missus

)

Getting rat 'arsed already , and just finished burning Snakes on a Plane .

Booze , Spliff and a movie , Merry Crimbo one and all

They are all about 1 man, Rocky Balboa, who is the under-dog. He rises from the bottom to the top in the world of boxing.

I wasn't into boxing but after the first time I saw these films I was into it straight away. It's not all boxing fights either, it's got story lines, sadness, anger, romance etc.

Got everything. Well worth a watch.

I think the place is called "Gerry's" it's in Old Compton St near the junction with Wardour st. You can't miss it JMac , there's always bottles and bottles of booze you've hardly heard of in the window,at the minute they've got a display of about 50-60 different kinds of vodka

As for Sangsom (and Mekong) it's not always readily available but apart from Gerry's , often you can pick up a bottle of thai "whiskey" at grocery store's in Londons china town . If you're really desperate a thai restaurant that serves the stuff will sometimes flog you a bottle if you "stroke" them .
