I have not seen it and don't plan on seeing it, just not the type of movie I would watch.

I hated Lost In Translation.  Had read brilliant things about it and couldn't wait.

I didn't get it.  When it finished, my girlfriend was saying how much she loved it and I felt that I had two hours of my life stolen from me, never to be given back.

The best film I have seen in the last few months has to be Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.  Absolutely brilliant.  Anyone seen that?

i saw that jonny, loved it, but im a massive charlie kaufman fan.

lost in translationm is one of those films ud either love or hate, similar to royal tenembaums in that respect.

and jonnymac, if u didnt like lost in translation (a fantastic film!!!) then ud hate gerry, a film by gus van sant(who also made the fantastic elephant)

people have different tastes tho.

Didn't like Royal Tenebaums, switched it off halfway through.  I want to see Elephant.  Was going to get it in HMV a week or two back, but I never.

I can't work out Donnie Darko, and no amount of iMDB message board reading will make me.  I will need to see it again and I have already seen it twice.  What's that all about?

jonny, it all depends on your point of view. a lot people say it is about god and religion, others about science. i dont wanna say here in case tho who havent seen it will wind the movie ruined by what id say. i think i get it tho, and i love the film, but thats my style

ive seen royal tenembaums a few times, loved it more and more every time. altho i dont just love those films. also love dude wheres my car and harold and kumar... all depends on my state of mind

a film u HAVE to see tho is old boy, now that film will blow u away

Thought Sideways was a good film, Lost in Translation was ok but nothing special,
Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and just thought "what the f*ck was all that about?", so did everyone I went with  ???, loved the Royal Tenenbaums tho.

Great how peoples tastes differ  :)

im looking forawrd to life aquatic, but if u didnt like tenembaums id never go see it...lol

loved hero and house of flying daggers, but also love that zang zi (sp) bird so that was obvious. infernal affairs one and two were also fantastic, with scorsese about to remake the former with leo and mark whalberg, setting it in boston, should be fan-fecking-tastic

for a scary film id reccomend haute tension, or dwitchblade romance, very tense film, loved it.

Also itchi the killer is worth a shot if u like slightly surreal yet abnormally gory films
