With the (re)arrival of Mikz--errr, Des--on these boards (welcome back, brother), I've started to get that itch that only "Lost" can scratch.  I'm sure Season 3 is less than a month away from hitting telly screens over here and I, for one, can't wait!

When this thread last graced the "New Posts" page on a regular basis, discussion was severely hampered by the fact that a number of regular viewers were not fully up to speed with the end-of-season developments.  So, are we all up to speed now?  What are people's theories and/or expectations for the new season?

Series 3 episode 1

A Tale of Two cities.-(kate-centric)We pick up where we left off, but obviously there are different stories on different parts of the island, and, you know, we will get to all of them in the first few episodes. But like last year, we didn't deal with the raft survivors in the first episode. Not everything is going to be answered in the first episode. But the captivity story [with Jack, Kate and Sawyer] will definitely be addressed.

Episode 2 Further instructions-(Claire-centric)     It's Claire-centric and her flashback features Mike and Jan, a hippie-ish couple in their 50's. They are warm and kind, but also tough and protective when the situation calls for it.

Episode 3 -The Glass Ballerina- (Sun/Jin(?)-centric)
Episode 4- Every man for himself- (my centric)

As in Desmond Hume-centric?  If so, is the whole thing a flashback or are we looking at a nice little twist from the Season Finale?

Either way, more Desmond is always a good thing, brother!  :buttrock

Well I hope we dont get a drawn out, lets milk it for all we get series. Really like to see some major developments but considering the way the second went.
I guess whatever gets resolved will be replaced by another new twist and mystery

I am really intrigued by LOST, it is winding me up thinking about all the possiblities. I guess you have all read Andrew Smiths Ultimate Theory? I think it is something along the lines of what he is saying.

Cant wait!!

Looks like Michael and his son won't be returning for the new season, while we will be seeing a couple of new faces that will spice things up.

I read from a couple of sources a while ago so I can't provide any evidence at the moment. Although If I do find them, I'll post them on.

By the way, anyone wanna know what DHARMA stands for. It's actually gives away the initiative's objective.
