Big announcement on Libya at 1230 by William Hague.

Last night my mate (whose brother is posted on HMS Trafalgar) text me saying the rumour spreading quickly amongst the Navy was that last night Gadaffi was killed in a raid by special forces.

I didn't ask as it was only a rumour. Probably bulls..t but interesting similar rumours are spreading via Twitter (Twitter is uber-reliable :;):

The story I heard was they shot him in both knees then beat him, then killed him.

The story I heard was they beat him, scraped nails on a blackboard in front of him, made him watch an hour of Davina McCall, then he shot himself.

lol!

Glad to see Libya is freed from a tyrant (although killing him is the easy way, should have let him suffer) but I'm skeptical about the future of Libya, considering that France, US, Britian and others are very interested in Libya's natural resources, black gold.

I saw the footage of his shooting.

It starts as they drag him away, he is injured and bleeding from the head. But is clearly conscious.

Next thing someone hold a gun to his stomach, the camera shakes violently, you can hear gun fire.

Camera zooms in on him semi-conscious leaning against a rebel, then next scene he is on the floor dead.

Supposedly shot in the stomach.
