X-factor is a pile of , anyone can sing cover songs, not many people write their own music anymore, not many can revolutionise music or shape and mould a new brand of music, music is poor now a days and shows like X-factor are killing music.

Musics been on a slippery slope since the late 80s. I think what x factor does is remind us of them good times

Different Classes by Pulp in the early 90's was the best album released of that decade, you had some good stuff from Blur and Oasis, but both bands got too ego driven and released poor stuff afterwards. I like Pearl Jam, they've been a massive breath of fresh air, I used to listen to them a lot when I was going through my teenage years, same with bands like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Sound Garden, and I thought a lot of Paul Weller's stuff in the nineties was terrific. To me music has gone downhill for the past seven and eight years and these types of shows are also ruining music, they encourage morons who are looking to do anything for fame to enter, they disencourage key abilities such as writing your own music, playing your own instruments and are basically damaging music. Anyone can sing from an auto cue and anyone can sing, but not everyone has the ability to write great music or compose great music and very few people are in the music business because they actually like music, they want the lifestyle of people like Jennifer Lopez and P Diddy and so on. There are very few Eddie Vedders around these days and that’s what music is missing. Still at least Paul McCartney has released his new album; I’ll have to buy that when I am bothered to wrestle my way through HMV.
