Yes folks I have finally done what i thought was impossible and fu.cked off SKY TV. This is no easy feat for me. I have had SKY since I was 16 in me nans house and have regularly upgraded to the new options they offer like SKY + etc.

I think SKY as a product was absolutely boss. Then SKY + came along and I was in awe. I often wondered how I ever lived without it.

However the last 6 months or so I have become very disillusioned with SKY. The channels seem to show the same thing almost week after week, then they introduced the terrible new movie system WHERE THE SAME PROGRAM IS ON THE SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT!!


SERIOUSLY WHAT THE IS THAT, EVERY NIGHT I GOT IN LAST WEEK AT 7.30PM AND EVERY CHANNEL WAS THE SAME AS PREVIOUS!?!?


And also my boxes were never connected so they were charging me £82.50 a month for multiroom. When I clicked they said I could not have the money till the boxes were connected and wanted ng 65 for a call out charge. Eventually they sent someone out a few months ago and now, even though previously they said they did owe me money, are denying all knowledge and saying no.


So I stopped paying there and then.


I got a phone call last week explaining they had suspended my package so I told them to get and I was cancelling. However as I only got sky + 10 months ago, I have to pay a tenner a month till October.


Oh and they cancelled my outstanding £120 as they put it "in good faith" because of all the problems I had.



So officially I am free of them robbing bast.ards.


Its nice to stick it to Murdoch and I hope Virgin fu.cking rape sky over the next decade or so.


However a bit of good news - when they suspended my subscription they only knocked off the SKY + option and few select channels like Sky Sports Xtra. I still have all the major ones and SKY think its all off. So officially I am robbing them for a bit now.

Can anyone suggest anything, someone mentions a starview box or something?

Be warned. Same thing happened to us, like you say. Jibbed the SKY and i thought it was f**kin hilarious that virtually the whole package was still active. Great this! what seven months later......

I'm with Virgin Media and apart from the fact (through no fault of their own), they lost out on Sky Sports and Sky One ( no more Lost but  i have found a site where i can watch all the episodes so far) i haven't had any problems.

I have the phone through them and 20 Meg Broadband and no problems with them either.

I've got Virgin with the net, phone and tv (in another room) but the bills not the claimed 3 for 30, its normally about 75 rips a month.

Still got the Sky but paying £64.50 a month meself and i am also totally f'cked off with the way they have changed the movies.
I couldnt cancel as i need the sports and to just cancel the movies hardly saves you anything anyway.

But like you said, they have royally taken the p!ss and will start losing customers in droves unless they pack all sh!t like that in.

all channels and movies ive got my broardband with them and home phone call unlimited 24
and my bill is £60 a month max you have to blag them and they will drop the cost easy everytime
i complain about my tinterweb sometimes and they give me a free month!

If you live in an NTL/VIRGIN area ask around, lots of people will have a chipped box. If you see one of their vans about ask the driver....i got one off them, all channels, sports, movies, porn  , and Setanta.
