I've never read a HP book nor see the films BUT would like to ask whether the films would be suitable for my twin 7 year old boys??

The lads are talking about them from school so y'know to be fair I should get the first from the video shop if you think its suitable?

I can't remember what the feck the first movie was about but I don't remember it being too bad. Lots of magic, creatures, and that sort. Then in the later movies theres a large snake creature and ghosts and a creature here and there that could give young kids some scary dreams. Might not, depends on the person.

One thing I know for sure is that as they go on they get darker.

The lads didnt sleep for a weak after watching teh new King Kong film! I thought it would be the usual big monkey swinging of the Empire State Building but the opening half hour on the island with those cannibals scared the living daylights out of them!

Ey my dads fu.ckin 56 and he's read them all , he's a teacher an all so its not like he's some fool lol everyone likes potter

Have read all the books numerous times - very good and entertaining read and throughly enjoyable - Films are ok but getting further away from the books but still watchable and enjoyable .

1 Boy and 2 Girls, i've read and seen the whole lot of them countless times.

I'm a true boy scout!... my kids love the books and films Reg, i even found myself engrosed.

I'm a good bloody dad me

i have sacrafised my holidays so i can take my kids too Disney World
when they open the life size castle of Hogwarts.

God knows why this has happened to me but it's quite a joke among my wife and kids
that if i'm tired and can't sleep it's "Send dad to bed mum and put on Harry Potter" I never make
it through the theme music while laying down it knocks me the feck out.

Weird stuff but thank you Harry you have brought me and my kids closer together

What's sadder? The fact that the older most people get, the more miserable they become? Or that some people do well to keep the child in themselves alive by entertaining such things like Harry Potter?

I for one liked the films. Very well made, though I don't think I'll ever read any of the books. I mean, the author is a grown adult, as are all the rest of the most famous childerens writers. What's that say for them to be able to create such things? I think it's a good thing.

We're adults, we read adult books. I might like the odd farleys rusk but i wont eat them on the train.

And of course adults wrote the books, what does that mean?

Adults on trains reading Harry Potter is just... geeky.
I read all the time, but proper books, not Harry Potter, which I am not the audience for. I'll watch the films sure, but not read the books, and neither should anyone over a certain age, in public... just what I think

its like, when u see a nice gal reading a book you may have read, you might start chatting, esp i a book shop or somewhere... if she was readnig harry potter... run away!!!

Gotta agree with Daws on that one like. When everyone sits in a room and someone mentions harry potter they start talking this whole other Potter language and it makes people come off, well, dorky.
