Usually i never bother watching much telly at all..let alone the irritating commercials the greedy marketing/ad men thrust inconveniently between what few interesting programmes exist that are watchable. But every now and again one pops up thats half decent and clever in its concept.  Though i still maintain how anyone can possibly become inspired to buy a product based on the frequency with which its image is rammed down their throats between what are little better oportunities than mere pi55breaks/brewing up times..is beyond me.  Iam very much an impulsive kind of chap and i dislike being told what to buy and when to best take advantage of it...only to be told/shown a week later that said product has dropped in price by £299!!  it is an outright insult. Despite the pockets that have to be lined i suppose....

anyway..As boring as many of them are, especially Car ads. There is one ive seen recently that grabbed me, which i reckon is quite clever and well executed:

Which commercials past and present do you lot remember best? (successful ones of course add gravitas to the very point of producing them in the first place) Though iam most definately not going to be buying a Nissan after that fine piece of technical CGI wizardry, i do appreciate the effort gone into it. As i did HONDA's  excellent "Impossible Dream" advert of 12-18 months ago - I love that clip, not least for the Barry Sheen nr7 link.     that was another good 'un:  Which might well have persuaded me to trade in the Kwak for a Blade if i hadnt got rid of the wild green beast already :(    (so i guess even im not impervious to their subliminal programming - but only for Bikes of course, of which there are zilch! so im ok :D)

What, if any do you folk enjoy/remember, that have stood the test of time....or even the more forgettable of efforts!  Post em here.

One advert that I think was quite amusing was the Australian one for Castlemaine XXXX (not sure about spelling).

These two Aussies load their truck full of cans of beer and say "anything else?......a couple of bottles of sweet sherry for the ladies"

Then the truck collapses and they say..."think we overdid it with the sherry.."

(Well I liked it...  :D )
