i have already posted this article in the "news and articles" section but i thought i would post it on here because i think it's absolutely hilarious. it has been reported on the liverpool website and on national radio so there must be some truth to the story.
...................................................................................

The businessman bidding to take over Coventry claims he is lining up Gerard Houllier as new boss with Eric Black pencilled in as his assistant.

Joe Dhinsa is planning to complete his buy-out in time for the start of the 2005-06 campaign, which is expected to open at the club's new 32,500-seater stadium.

The stadium will be the centrepiece of the £113m Coventry Arena development being built in the Foleshill area of the city where Dhinsa grew up.

And the 29-year-old Dhinsa, whose personal fortune is estimated at £40m, says his ideal managerial partnership would see Houllier, currently out of work but also linked with the French national job, being joined at the helm by former Sky Blues boss Eric Black, who was sacked with just one game of last season remaining.

Dhinsa said: "I've spoken to Gerard and I hope to be meeting him with regard to the manager's job. He's very positive about the football club and is the calibre of person I'd like to see in charge.

"I also believe Eric Black did a good job with very little money last season but I also believe that if you want managers to succeed, you have to give them resources."

Could happen.  Reports from the Coventry benefactor suggests otherwise though.

But who trusts the press?
