Asian cup

International Football/Football World Wide - General Discussion

Well perhaps only Metalhead and I will be interested but Asian Cup has kicked off in Qatar.
Will be interesting whether that World Cup is held this time of year as Sepp Blatter has hinted

After disaster that was Ashes, pinning my national hopes on Socceroos under new coach German Holger Osieck who are currently one nil up after 11 minutes.

Added bonus here is Tim Cahill will be on national duties

they actually knock it around pretty well and that Diaz seems a decent player.
But they clearly cant defend and it looks like it could end up 5 or 6 if they aussies keep getting balls into the box in the second half.

Indians  are very much  outclassed though give them their dues, their arent parking the bus and at least trying to attack.

Lol Saudis sacked their coach after upset defeat against Syria in their first game, boy they dont mess around

Good start, 4-0 Harry and Timmy getting it done. The Sth Korea game should be a beauty.

Laza, what are your feelings re: Tim Cahill? Like? Dislike?

Well in hindsight mate I wish we had got him and not Harry

Brilliant player , the way he can ghost into the box and considering his size the amount of headed goals he gets is quite amazing

Obviously that's when he wearing green and gold, when he is blue he is cocky little twerp    :D

Weather is fantastic at this time of the year in Qatar, it also experiences some foggy days.

Don't give a shyte about this year's asian cup... Lebanon aren't in it.... we are cr@p   :(

The Syrians who beat the Saudis thrashed us 4-0 in the qualifiers

Its funny how Australia are in it, they aren't even asians and they are desperate to win something.

sorry Laza... :rasp  :D
