CSKA Moscow have received a huge injury blow ahead of this Fridays UEFA Super Cup Final as star striker Ivica Olic faces at least six months on the sidelines.

Olic picked up the injury whilst playing for Croatia in Wednesday's 1-1 friendly draw against Brazil. Olic first noticed the injury after striking a 32nd-minute shot against a post and feeling a sharp pain in his knee. However, he continued to play until the 51st minute when he went down in agony.

After medical tests on Thursday at the clubs training ground, it was decided the 25-year-old needs surgery. "Olic will go back to Moscow where club doctors will choose when and where he will have the operation," said Croatia team doctor Boris Nemec. "He will certainly be unable to play for at least six months."

3-1 ill go for.

While Liverpool may have lost Gerrard !!

We're capable of winning games without Gerrard. i.e. v Juventus, and many other games. Not only that but we've won more games without Gerrard in the squad than we have when he was in the starting 11.

cska have some decent players so it will be a tricky game. if i'm not mistaken i think they signed costinha and maniche from porto in the summer.
