If chelsea want stevie g......... - They can have him!...woeful euro display

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I dont care if you all disagree or not, Stevie G has just quashed any possible move to Chelsea, and also destroyed his possible reputation as a possible "world class player" . World class he is not! Watching the Euros, he has hardly impressed AT ALL!.
He never once looked like taking ANY Euro game by the scruff of the neck, (with lampard) and of course he was subbed and England lost out. He's not the complete article by a long shot and has a lot to learn.

Just letting the Portugese take control in midfield when we should have been dominating was very amatuerish and no excuse! No passing or creative play, just stevie hoofing it out of danger and straight back to the opposition! How Auwful!

If Abramovich/ Mourhinio were watching tonight...He has just put his cheque book back in his pocket for sure!

If Chelsea want him for 30Million we should cash in, anyway.

He often plays negatively, dont know if its six years of working with houllier that has made him like this, but he often looks like he's got a face on him, ie; sulking a bit with his head down. Liverpool's poor season has definately taken its toll it seems.

He was totally ineffective against the frogs, The poor Swiss, the croatians (apart from a few long passes) and useless V the Portugeese.

I was waiting for a spark, a few surging runs, a wonder shot, putting it through to Owen on a sixpence, but no! stevie was Woeful, just woeful.

Owen too for that matter.

No individual player will ever be bigger than LFC!!!!

He played poorly tonight, can't argue with that.

But football fans are so fickle.

No wonder everyone decided England were going to win the whole competition after Croatia.

Fickle.

The way we played against Croatia suggested we could do it, but the same team didnt turn up tonight.

BEckham was woeful too, didnt even know he was on the pitch

He has been average all tournement. He's been nowhere near his best and hasn't shown what he did for Liverpool.

So whats your point?

Do you feel the need to be congratulated on spotting that? ???

Well done lad. You really are better than Danny Murphy :D

Hustler, the more I read your various comments the more i'm convinced you simply like the sound of your own voice and add a touch of aggression probably to convince yourself your right when invariably your not !!!!!! ???

Describing Steven Gerard as "Average" on the basis of a few games for England is naive at best !

I think both Lampard and Beckham were ahead of him tonight in terms of poor play. Becks in in on past performances alone and was non existent tonight (again), lampard was a liability in terms of givingt he ball away and Erickson was tacticallyinept bringing Vassell on when we were lumping the ball high and long all night !

So spill the beans la? I took your posts seriously at one point too! Nothing to do with the fact that everyone bar Rooney, Campbell and Cole have done the job over there! Get real mate!
