Thought Quansah had a pretty dodgy game. Gakpo did ok, unlucky to not get a goal but worked well all game. Kelleher with another good game tonight, very fortunate to have him.

Excellent result. Great to see Darwin scoring impressive goals. Just hope Konate’s injury isn’t too bad. The momentum continues!!

Klopp on Konate: "Ibou said to me 'if I do another sprint, it could be set'. Should be fine but we don't know, Joe Gomez is fine, played a lot, rotation. So let's see with Ibou."

Hopefully it's not serious and he's ready for Sunday.

Good win, tie is over. Play the kids for the Anfield match. Will be yet more experience for them.

Tie over could've easily been 5-3 or something. Nunez is on form and long may it continue.

Are you noticing that a great bond seems to be developing between Macca, Darwin and Diaz? Hopefully they'll attract more South American talent. Meanwhile Szoboszlai is the next captain in waiting come the opportunity. The new manager is going to inherit pure gold.

Great result but if we are as open as that at the back on Sunday then City will be out of sight by half time.
Harlaand, de Bruyne, Foden et al won’t  be as profligate as Sparta’s forwards.
Thought a lot of our trouble came from our fullbacks getting caught upfield leaving our CB’s no choice but go and meet the threat out wide thus vacating the centre, on Sunday I’d like to see our fullbacks sit a bit more. It wasn’t just the fact Sparta’s forwards had chances it was the time and space they had that was really alarming

agreed, if we play like that on Sun, that pi$$ ant Foden will have a field day. And I hate that little runt, passionately.
i personally don't think Robertson is a great defender. I often think he's more focused on beating the Assists record further up the pitch than doing a defender's job. and when TAA is on the other side (when he's fit that is) he's just as bad at defending. i'm happy that the young lad is doing so well there in his place, unfortunate with the OG on the day.
but yeah, City are firing at the moment and it's gonna be nervy.
