Dead rubber game, field café staff. Anyhow sure Klopp will give the main lads a break.

We've got good shot at winning this one. Team dropping from UCL all beatable, last ties still to determine a few. I prefer if Newcastle were to flop 3rd.
Shame mannure missed out, was looking forward to an easy tie.

A game for youngsters and fringe players. Save the legs of our key players for Sunday.

Sorry Union Saint-Gilloise but we must save all the big guns for Sunday to batter United.  So pleased to see United being paraded like a teams of social misfits supported by their former players who are equally willing to stick the knife deep into them.

Best time to slaughter them, they are dejected from coach to players. Their main plonker is also banned which makes if worse.

Repeat of last season would be awesome lol.

I don't want the lads to think it is going to be a stroll, maintain composure and be ruthless, no fekin mercy.

I would have left a lot more at  home but I suppose we’ve got to be wary of upsetting UEFA and the other teams in the group

2-1 down but I don’t see why we can’t turn it around. Pitch looks pretty poor and it’s getting chewed up and we don’t need any injuries.

Young line up but the amount of times we have given the ball away is absolutely abysmal.  P* ss poor all round so far.

Doak needs subbing...done less than nothing.
All the hype and no performances worthy of it of late..

- this is embarrassing now.. 10 shots v 1 for us

Our reserve team should be more capable than this.

What's really poor is the lack of control on first touches..we have put the ball in their way almost a dozen times or more instead of controlling it..basic stuff not done correctly.

2-1 defeat.

Major concerns:
Gakpo - anonymous- consistently inconsistent
Nunez, anonymous - consistently inconsistent
Diaz when he plays - consistently inconsistent

Salah going to the Afcon will likely lose us the league.

Didn't see all of the match, what I did see though was pi$$ poor all over the park. Very, very nervy play in all positions, even if some of them are youngsters. Endo isn't though, and no surprise he was hooked early doors.
I always hope from year to year we'll see 'someone' from the underage teams grab the bull by the horns and do something special, and I can't remember the last time I did.
Doak was bang average, Gordon did pretty much nothing all night, Gakpo was fairly clueless, Elliot trying a bit too hard, Konate made me sh1t a wee map of Cyprus once or twice again...
All round, ok there was nothing to play for, but the younger lads did themselves no favours. Nor did the experienced ones.

To be fair Union sit top of the Belgian League ahead of the likes of Anderlecht, Bruges, Standard Liege and Genk so they are no mugs and were always going to be a stiff test for our young lads.
I wouldn’t look too much into either the performance or the result, the game was meaningless and our lads knew it
